We learned of this hotel from a wonderful pianist who graduated from the Liszt Academy. We stayed here twice in July 2022. The rooms are stunningly designed and luxuriously equipped. The lobby is gorgeous and some of the music students played spontaneously - a highlight. The coffee/tea area was an additional thoughtful design. We loved the staff who were professional and elegant. One of the other highlights was the breakfasts - simply phenomenal with a variety of amazing fare - strawberry juice was a novelty for us Americans :) The staff at breakfast were truly exceptional with their warm greeting and attentive service. We also tried dinner here and the food was expertly crafted and delectable. Location wonderful along Andrassy Street or in hungarian, Ut (my 10 y/o's contribution :)) We can't wait to return!! Highly, highly, highly recommended!…
Having previously visited the Christmas markets in Krakow and Prague, my wife and I opted to travel to Budapest for our 3 night stay on this occasion. A key factor of any City stay for us is location as we like to cover as much ground as possible in the time we have to visit all the main tourist attractions. Additionally, we like to stay in an area which offers a good choice of bars and restaurants. With this in mind, we chose the Hotel Moments Budapest as it was centrally located and within 20 minutes walking distance from the main areas of interest. It also, had excellent reviews and the hotel rooms looked great. Initially we booked an Executive Double Room but prior to arriving, we decided to upgrade to a Top Floor Executive Double Room as they looked amazing. We corresponded with the Hotel and were advised the upgrade was available for an additional €15 per night extra, which we deemed acceptable. All correspondence was dealt with quickly by the Hotel. On our arrival, we checked in with Reception at 1pm and were advised our room was ready. This is despite normal check-in being published as 3pm and some guests arriving at same time as us having to wait for their rooms. Reception staff at check-in were very courteous and professional. Being on the top floor, we were met by lots of natural light from the glass roof as we left the elevator and proceeded to our room. On entering our room (510), it looked exactly as it was illustrated on the Hotel website and you could see the dome of St Stephens Basilica from our window. The room itself was tastefully decorated, very clean and had all the modern furnishings and facilities you could ask for. Due to the size of rooftop window, the room was presented with lots of natural light. The window itself could be electrically opened/closed by pressing a switch on a panel next to the bed. Similarly, the blackout blind attached to the window could be opened/closed by a different switch on the same panel. The bathroom was modern and large and nicely fitted out with a walk-in shower. As we were accommodated on a B&B basis, we attended breakfast on the three mornings we were there. The choice of food was satisfactory and consisted of a small mix of hot and cold foods. Our overall experience of breakfast was only satisfactory as we had to ask staff to clear a table for us on two of the mornings in order to eat and the hot food items were only warm and there was no microwave oven available to heat our food up. I made reference to this on my Comments Card when checking out of the Hotel as I did feel this was an area that could be improved. As for bar and lounge facilities, the Hotel had a bar/ lounge area called SFINX. This was a pleasant area to sit in for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as snacks. It was very modern in design and tastefully furnished. It offered a good selection of drinks and snacks and the staff were very pleasant and professional. We visited the bar twice during our stay as unfortunately on one day it was closed for a private function. Toilets are not usually an area I would comment on in a review but I have to say that the toilets situated downstairs from Reception are the most fascinating I have ever visited!! As you approach them you are confronted by a full length picture of what appears to be a mural of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The ladies is on the side of Eve and the gents are on the side of Adam. When inside the toilets, the cubicle doors are all decorated in a similar fashion and are exceptionally clean. In summary, Hotel Moments Budapest offers guests an excellent stay in a lovely City Centre hotel. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, as was the SFINX Bar Lounge area. As mentioned, breakfast could be improved but it was not that bad to warrant me dropping the hotel’s overall rating. Would I stay here again…..most definitely.…
Great service, staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location about 5-10 minutes walking from central places.many restaurants in the range of 10 minutes walking. Nearby top attractions. Breakfast was good. Room and bathroom were clean. I will defiantly return to this hotel on my next visit.
Property is in a great location. Many restaurants in walking distance. If you're doing a river cruise, it's about a $10 taxi. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Provided breakfast had all bases covered. US, UK, European. Room and bathroom were pretty large for a European hotel. Bed was a CA King size.
It is the best city hotel we have ever stayed in. The location is perfect for sightseeing. The service is very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are amazing. Rooms are spacious and clean. We had an amazing view from our window.
It was our fist trip to Budapest and, while we have done quite a bit of travelling around the world, we must say that the service provided at Hotel Moments was excellent. The location was great and breakfast each morning, which we really looked forward to, was outstanding. What set this hotel apart from all the others we have stayed at, is the staff. It's not a perfect world and, occassionally things don't go to plan but you can rest assured Hotel Moments will do whatever it takes to look after you. A return visit to this hotel is a must!
Our room was very good, the location is incredible and the service is amazing, Our booking included breakfast which was great as well. all and all a wonderful experience! Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking to book a vacation in Budapest.
Super friendly stuff, clean rooms and top service. If you need help don’t hesitate to ask at the reception. Breakfast was nice from fresh fruits to pancakes. In my opinion very good location to explore Budapest!
We booked this hotel through Jet2 holidays mainly due to excellent reviews and location and we weren't disappointed . A modern hotel with good size rooms , great bar and bistro. My wife had an health emergency that required a doctor. The reception staff were great, they arranged for a doctor to visit the hotel that same day , explained the costings and showed real concern for her health. Thankfully everything turned out good, dispite a possible trip to the hospital . I must thank Mr Botond Siko , Office Manager for his help and thank him and his staff for their concern and assistance .
This was our second stay in this hotel and both times we had a wonderful time. Everyone who works here are amazing and they will try to accommodate all your needs. Breakfast is really good quality and plenty to choose from. We will be back.
