This hostel is a joke. At the given address is no hostel. The owner picks you up at that place and relocates you to a rundown building with a good location, but a public bathroom and extremely dirty rooms. You would not even want to take off your shoes. The windows are leaky and cannot be closed. The whole building...

Our bedroom, the kitchen and our bathroom were dirty, everything was cobwebbed. We didn't get towels and there was no toilet paper. The bunk bed was very rickety. We didn't have daylight in our room, as the only window was covered with styrofoam. At least the owners were helpful, they told us some facts about Budapest and about places to...

A great hostel with an amazingly friendly and helpful staff. One of the best places I've stayed in all of Europe. Outstanding hostel. Can't wait to come back!

This was one of the easiest hostels to find- the directions listed are so exact, which helps me a lot! Not a lot of "fun" at this hostel, but that was fine as I was there with a friend. Very clean and my favorite bed of all of the hostels I've stayed in across Europe this summer! Bathrooms are really...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
