We arrived early and they kept our bags for us, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly and upgraded us to the suite which was a lovely gesture. Our room backed onto a central courtyard/ reception area, initially strange having no external windows from our room but didn’t affect our break. My only concern was the shower left a large amount of water going into the bathroom and having recently had shoulder surgery and just coming out of a sling I found this slightly worrying from a personal aspect of falling, however the underfloor hearing dried this up. Breakfast was lovely and a nice start to the day. The smell as you walk in will always stay with me and when I smell it again will transport me back to this hotel. The location was brilliant, 1 min walk to the trams, 2 min to the Basilica, sadly the chain bridge was closed when we visited. Should I return I think this will be top of my list. Thank you for a great stay.

The hotel is centrally located and its an easy walk to most sites to see. The Chain bridge is closed for repairs so its a bit of a hike to Buda Castle. The hotel is newly renovated in keeping with the old architecture. Front desk was very helpful. Breakfast was better than average. General lack of mask use in all of Budapest was concerning given the low level of vaccination but no one looked at us strangely in the hotel for masking up.

+1
Everything was perfect. This gem is centrally located, 2 minutes to Tram 2, the tourist tram along the Danube. Staff are very welcoming. And in the new normal, this hotel has the highest safety standard I have ever experienced. The minute you enter the lobby, the pens on display are labeled "sanitized". When I checked in the room, the key lock has the "sanitized" sign as well as the remote control. As a Gold member on Hotels.com, I am a seasoned traveller but this hotel ranked #1 in terms of maximum health protocol. The hotel is so elegant, with mosaic walls, a panoramic elevator, and great customer service. An added treat is the spa exclusive to guests . We truly enjoyed the jacuzzi and the dry sauna. The gym allows only 2 people at a time, for safe distancing. There are gloves to use when you touch the machines and weights, and yoga mats. The only thing I would add in the gym are TV screens to watch CNN while working out. Breakfast is a real treat and plentiful-hot and cold. The rooms have everything you can ask for. I was fortunate to stay at the Prestige Suite 416. No word to describe it but perfect. High cellings, luxurious baths and organic aromatherapy toiletries. Worth mentioning is the high quality bedding-gives great lumbar support, and a pillow menu, that conforms to every guests needs. Shoutout to the GM, Péter Vezekényi who was very personalized in welcoming us at the breakfast table. They pay extra attention to every detail of your stay. So don't look elsewhere when in Budapest. Stay here. It's very price friendly too. Shoutout to Barbara in the front desk. They print your travel requirements at no extra charge. I will definitely come back and stay in this place.
