Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. Location is fantastic, right beside the basilica. The hotel also feels brand new, very lux and with high ceilings everywhere. Spa area also really nice. We didn’t get to use the roof top bar, but the view was excellent so I’d recommend you walk up to see it

Hotel's Favorite
In a word, ❤️❤️❤️PERFECT❤️❤️❤️. The reviews of this property —almost—seemed too good to be true. I’m always suspect of single digit TA reviewers, especially when they describe a place as their favorite or the best (fill in the blank) in any category. The Aria has a pretty flawless record on TA and the majority of it, extremely credible well traveled Guests.. I wasn’t sure initially how I felt about the properties music theme, even though I love a good party theme. Could they pull off such a bold concept for the whole property? Would it be kitschy or would it be tasteful and elegant? We booked through Amex and once confirmed, contacted the Hotel about some restaurant reservations and spa services. All of my inquiries were replied to in about an hour-despite the time differences. Maybe it was luck? I don’t know if this was the norm, but it was UNFATHOMABLE even were it a simple request-and some of them weren’t!! Clearly this Hotel really values their guests even before they arrive. Once the pre-planning was complete, the Concierge offered their sedan service for pickup (which was fairly priced). I would highly recommend using their driver-he met us as promised and his smoke free car was immaculate. Checking in was easy and fast. We were offered a category upgrade by the desk, shown both rooms and realized we loved the room we initially booked and stayed with it. The Hotel is gorgeous, the interiors are sparkling and beautiful, the Staff are all kind, helpful and enthusiastic. The music theme works (as in totally works). The lobby piano is exquisite, the glass “french” doors that give a peek a boo view of the kitchen were clever and the one remarkable thing-was that the staff access only areas were not marked “Private”. Wow! Such a better design decision that preserved the glamorous aesthetic. The Staff had electronic access and we never heard a door slam or chatter as the Crew moved discretely throughout. I felt like an invited guest at a palace! And hooooo eeeee!!! The Guest Room was amazing... . Molton Brown goodies, fancy walk in closet, deep soaking tub, rain and hand showers, gorgeous onyx bath accents, tons of storage, giant comfy bed with all sorts of great assorted pillows, excellent lighting. Aria=never ending attention to detail (I asked for ice and they asked “cube or crushed” (and delivered in under three minutes). Another few examples of the Hotels commitment to their Guests perfect experience was their repairing, laundering and delivering torn pants in a matter of hours, “Skip the line” tickets for the bath (and changing room), the Manager helping us chose a last minute Dinner restaurant and going into great detail about each establishments distance, specialties and atmosphere. The doormen made sure we had umbrellas when needed and never let us touch a door-greeting us warmly upon arrival and departure. The list of nice touches goes on and this is already a long review!! Phew! Breakfast was lovely, the roof Bar was fantastic (see review) and the fine dining restaurant was utterly divine. Plus the interior spaces luxuriousssss. Remarkable Hotel, fantastic flawless service and location location location.

This was a three star experience for us but might be a four or five star experience for those who do not need car access and do not need to eat in the hotel. Don’t even think of staying at Aria if driving a car. We registered our number plate well in advance but it didn’t make any difference. You sit at the bollard for ten minutes with vehicles piling up behind you out into the major thoroughfare. You phone the hotel. They phone somebody. Five minutes later the bollard goes down and you can enter the hotel street. A stressful introduction to the Aria which is repeated every time you return from a day out. The hotel will say this is outside their control but this is a review of the experience not an allocation of blame. Aria does not have a restaurant. It is closed due to “covid restrictions” despite the fact that there have been no such restrictions for a couple of months. What it has is a wildly overpriced snackbar menu in the bar on the roof. They charge an automatic 15% for (non-existent) service and then leave a tip line to catch the unwary. The only really positive aspect was the front desk who were wonderful at recommending and booking restaurants and activities. I just wish I’d asked them to book us a better hotel!

Dear Bubblebuddies, Many thanks for the review posted above. We are devastated to learn from your review that you had to leave our hotel with a guest experience not as flattering as expected. To see the positive side, we are very proud of our attentive front desk team who are doing their best to make you feel at home from the moment you check in through fulfilling your requests during your stay up to the moment when valet service is handing over your car keys. Truth be said, our historic protected street has a very calm atmosphere with restricted vehicle traffic. Despite our best efforts to communicate with local authorities and the actual personnel operating the barrier in front of the street, we in the hotel do not have that special button granting you access directly. Most of the cases the system works well, and we encourage you to give us another chance to prove that it is in fact smooth and convenient to arrive in the Aria by car. In regards to our restaurant services, it has been a long awaited option that we are serving full à la carte dinner menu in the High Note SkyBar, as opposed to the previously offered exclusive cocktail line with only limited snack and bar bite availability. The dinner menu is a highly sought after and successful service of the SkyBar since its introduction. We are heartbroken to realize that is something far from your expectations. It is due to tax regulations in Hungary that we must add service charge amount to the bill as well. Meanwhile, if you are not satisfied, you are free to refuse the payment of the service charge which we remove off the final bill straight away. Please email me your bank account number where we can re-transfer the amount in question to rectify your bitter feeling – at least up to the level of this token. Our real comfort meanwhile is the hope that you would assign us with the privilege of having you back in the near future as a new member of the large family of our returning guests. With warm wishes, Kornél @ AriaHotelBudapest . com

Very difficult to rate this hotel that everywhere stands that it was rated first hotel in the world by TripAdvisor not so long ago. The spot is perfectly located in the center of Pest. Everything clean and nice. Specially the rooftop bar. The service was good and nice but I would like to make some comments regarding details that should be really improved seriously. The light system in the rooms is to be revised as it is impossible to chose the light you want to use. Make the tv work is also a challenge for normal people. If you are a smoker do not rent a room with balcony as they will never allow you to smoke. The balconies are called with music garden view but there is no garden. The worst thing is that the valet parking is to be paid everyday even if you do not use it. They park you car in a nearby parking lot and they make you pay more expensive as they need to make benefits. I could understand this but they also make you pay everyday a fee of money for the valet parking. They only parked our car the first day and gave it back to us twelve days later but we paid 150 euros for the everyday valet parking. Nice!!!! This is not the level of a traditional 5 stars hotel. The rest was nice and small details can ruin a solid reputation. As customers we can say that we were interested by using the place for an event but finally we will certainly make it elsewhere.

Dear Patrick S, We are very grateful for your review, as we learnt during your stay that you are one of our few esteemed guests with particularly refined taste and thoughtful expectations. So, thank you so much for the considerate criticism, and we are honored to reflect in detail as follows: We do value your notice on our constant efforts of maintaining the cleanliness and the friendly service on the utmost top priority. We understand that our electric gadgets might seem too complicated for the first glimpse. We have worked on a system that can pack as many services into one device as possible so that our guests with various needs do not have to get confused amidst a myriad of different switches and gadgets – we rather place only one remote controls with many functionalities in the room. We are listening to your notice and developing a system that can provide the same rich solutions in a more simple and elegant way. Smoking in the hotel premises has always been forbidden for two different reasons: the banning on smoking indoors is harmonizing with the actual EU-regulations. Smoking in the terrace can seriously interfere with the comfort of other neighboring guests. The strict smoking rules are clearly communicated verbally and in written forms on many instances during your stay – from the check-in up to the clear signs placed in your welcome letter, the room information brochures, and signs on walls. We do keep seeking ways though to cherish the needs of each and every guest – even if these needs are the complete opposite of one another. We were relieved to see you being happy with the complimentary upgrade to a room with terrace facing the street, hence avoiding possible inconveniences of confronting guest interests. But now we are heartbroken to learn that this solution did not really suit your expectations. Regarding our vallet service, please accept our heartfelt apologies, if our communication might have been a subject of misunderstanding. This comprehensive service is including parking, driving your car to the parking lot and back, and also ensuring that your vehicle is getting back to you in an intact condition at your departure. When it comes to payment at the check-out, we always list the full range of expenditures to our guests before finalizing the invoice. Despite this careful and transparent method, there can be minor differences in the final amount. Even if this is the case, we are striving to rectify balance issues, and we are paying back the differences – like we have just acted in your case, and we trust you have already received the refund of the disputed amount on your account. Dear Patrick S, I understand your mixed experience, meanwhile I am confident that we can welcome you back as a member of our returning guest family. They already know how it feels to enjoy extra benefits, and to experience a really personal approach, knowing all your needs and habits, preparing everything accordingly up to the nifty details, and providing a tailormade service, especially to you. With warm regards, Gabor Nadas General Manager

Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are large with a bath, coffee machine and balcony. The service was fantastic and the decor beautiful. It is music themed, so each room is themed with a musical artist or artists, including books about them. I thought the shower was quite average compared to the luxury of the rest of the room but it was still absolutely fine. The pool area is very nice also.
