Centrally located the hotel sites in a lovely off road alongside italian restaurants a wine bar and as you move closer to the basilica, numerous cafes. The staff offered good service and the hotel was very clean. Our room was of an average size with a large shower room with hairdryer. Breakfast was the standard buffet affair - beware, it...

Returned last night and can only reiterate what has already been said about this hotel. We arrived early evening so it looked particularly attractive with the festive street lighting. Apparently only the superior rooms have views but we weren't there to look out of the window when there's a wonderful city to explore. I noticed somebody didn't have a minibar...

We spent a lot of time surfing the internet for the best place to stay for trip to Budapest. we where also debating on wether to go for a resonable 5 star with a pool, sauna etc or just a good basic hotel in the best possible location? we opted for the latter and went fo the hotel cental basilca...

You cannot get a better location in all of Budapest! And the most wonderful thing about this hotel is that it actually tries to be a good experience. The rooms have coordinating decor, comfortable beds, clean carpet, nice windows that open and close well, new & matching furniture, free internet in the rooms...Yes, it does not have a bar, restaurant...

Location could not be better. Room we had was small, but functional and was quiet (inner courtyard). Advice would be to get to the breakfast (good buffet) early (before 9am) if busy. Internet was not working the weekend we were there. If visiting Budapest again, we would stay there, and would recommend the hotel to others. Would also recommend the...

Travelled to Budapest in March of this year for a five day city break. It was a dual purpose trip really, firstly to attend the AC/DC gig at Budapest arena,(best band on the planet) and also to experience the rich heritage, history, culture and architecture of this beautiful city. We were not dissapointed. We are a married couple in our mid 50`s...

We found the hotel to be in a fabulous location for the sites in town and also for proximity to a lovely square in front of St Peter's Basilica that was wonderful for relaxing and people watching after dinner. The beds were comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

The hotel is central, you can go almost everywhere on foot and clean. People at reception are friendly and always eager to help. The breakfast also is very good.

I was excited about staying here but ended up very disappointed with the experience. The room was small and dark. The wall had stains on it. I found the service was quite poor and the staff that we dealt with at check-in quite rude and unhelpful. We requested a non-smoking room and were made to feel like this was a...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
