Friendly staff and room was clean. Walking distance to all attractions . Right beside St Stephen Bacillica. Good location for the price. Only problem is that the heating and air conditioning is centrally controlled. Not enough air flow unless the windows are open. On the first floor that was not the easiest thing to do. The windows are larger than...

My colleague and me were welcomed very friendly. The rooms are large enough, good beds, good facilities. Breakfast was enough, although I was a bit surprised to enter an empty breakfast room at 9am. Our flight was leaving in the afternoon, but we could do some remote work in the lobby, using the hotel wifi. We enjoyed our stay, but...

Lovely welcome, room basic but clean! Such a fab location, near enough opposite saint Stephane's basilica! Slept well, comfy enough bed. Breakfast was basic but nice. If your looking for a nice, basic, budget hotel with an excellent location, this would be perfect. It's got a great location link for the big bus tours. Also would recommend the bus tours!...

I stayed here with my partner for 5 nights. In many respects this was a good choice; very near the St Stephen's Basilica and within easy walking distance of all the major tourist attractions. Our room was on 4th floor and faced the inner courtyard. It was quite spacious as was the en suite bathroom. Like the rest of the...

Room, reception staff, breakfast, housekeeping, and location are at the upper limit of a European three star hotel and location is conveniently central. My double room for single use (certainly very good value for money) was spacious, quiet (as I had requested it), overlooking an internal yard, very clean, with large clothes closet, with luxurious, old fashioned "imperial" curtains which...

Hotel is in the best location possible right next to Basilica. Reception were reasonably helpful and spoke good English. Bedrooms were of good size with spacious bathroom containing a shower/sink/toilet. Double bed was two singles pushed together and are quite low. Beds are comfortable and you can have extra pillows sheets etc just ask. There is air conditioning ( not...

Remember, this is a simple old world style classic hotel, so westerners must keep this in mind. If you want high luxury, go to the Four Seasons and pay 10 times more. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The front desk is also your concierge. They can make reservations for just about anything...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
