District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Great location in a big city. The hotel doesn't have great eating facilities but the rooms are spacious and more like an apartment. Clean, spacious and fully equipped with a hob, microwave, pots, pans, plates and cutlery. There's a 24hr supermarket over the road and plenty of

Basic but clean and friendly. Ideally situated about halfway down andrassy street so within walking distance of heroes square at one end, and the Christmas markets and cultural squares at the other. Plenty of choice at breakfast and good value for money.

This is not a 4**** hotel, it can't be!! This is a maximum 3***. I stayed for one night in a room with no bad, only one unconfortable extensible sofa. It wasn't a very clean room, and also the sheets on the bad, even if they were washed, the were old and over used, with some old

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We had caught the overnight train from Brasov and arrived mid morning. The reception staff made a phone call and found us a room that we could check in to straight away. We really appreciated this. We had a great stay at this hotel and do

Not even a 3 stars hotel. The hotel is very very old, the showes and the floors are disgusting. Wasn’t renovated for at least 20-30 years. The breakfast is very unsetesfyin. Towels are very small and old- at least as old as the hotel. Not at the very center- right above a car

Напор в душе отличный.
Темный номер с разложенным диваном, а не кроватью.

You need to buy 2 tickets for each leg of the journey from the ticket machine at the bus stop, or just inside the airport terminal. Bus 200E goes to the city centre to metro Kőbánya-Kispest, from here you use your second ticket on the train to get to Oktogon. It's very easy and don't forget to stamp your ticket before you get on the train.

What is the best way to reach this hotel using public transport?
Dear Eimear, Thank you for interested in City- Hotel Budapest****. The public transport is quite difficult. Get on the bus 200E from the airport to Kőbánya Kispest, than change Metro line 3 to Corvin negyed, than tram line 4 or 6 to Király utca. We are 1 minutes walk from Király utca stop. best regards, Tamas Nagy

We had a one bedroom apartment for 3 adults, so I am sure you would fit. One double sofa bed which we could leave out as there were at least three chairs to sit on in the apartment. Yes there were cooking facilities, basic but enough to make your own meals

It depends on what kind of stag do you are having. If you are looking for clubs and bars that go on late into the night, we didn't notice much in the area. If you are looking for more culture and eating, this would be a good place. We used a taxi to get from the airport so am not sure about the possibility of a shuttle.

"The actual hotel may be better than the apartment block."
"Avoid room 15 If you don't smoke or want smoke coming into your windows!"
"I was room 12 of first floor - no complaints at all"
"Rooms overlooking the central courtyard are lovely and quiet."
"Choose the "inside" rooms if available as they are quitter and have a view of the lovely (but tiny) inside garden."
