Before two weeks I was in St. George. When I'm in Budapest I sleep in this hotel more than 10 years and I was very satisfied until my last visit. My last visit was two years ago and I found many changes in the bad sense. The worst part was that the room was very dirty. There were hairs in...

Very nice, quiet, safe accomodations in the Castle District of Buda. You will feel like you're staying in a palace. Keep in mind that that these are suites ... so it's kind of like a palatial version of Marriott Residence. The living room is far larger than the bedroom, and includes a sink, small refrigerator and microwave oven. The ceilings...

We arrived at this hotel, the check in was efficient and friendly and as we were on the first floor the receptionist offered to carry our bags upstairs, we travelled light so the help unnecessary. Our suite was palatial, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was self service and although we had warned the hotel that one of us is...

Cannot really fault our stay here. Huge rooms with everything you could want. A very comfortable large bed and a sizeable wardrobe. Fully stocked mini bar that is very reasonably priced. We had everything we needed and more, didn't use the kitchenette but it is a great facility. The bathroom was huge however it was quite annoying not having a...

It was in the historic Buda Castle area of Budapest. It was very old world and everyone was lovely. The food at the hotel was amazing! Especially, if you want traditional Hungarian fare. Would visit again.

The hotel is set in a beautiful building on an historic street. However it is not 5 star mainly due to the poor service at reception. The staff have not been trained. As the previous reviewer mentioned I think some of the receptionists need to observe the service at the Hilton to understand what service is. Standing outside with your...

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to leave a review with us. We regret to hear that you have found the service of our staff to be not in conformity with a 5-star hotel service. We shall talk to our staff in this regard and are to arrange for improvements in this field, but usually being an apartment hotel...

Just returned after staying in the Diamond room (number 28) for 3 nights. On arriving, the guy at reception was miserable, didn't explain anything and just gave us the key. No welcome or anything. When we arrived, the room itself was like a sauna at around 26 degrees, due to every heating unit being on full, and the heat from...

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your opinion about your stay with us. We regret to hear that we could not help you with high temperature problems in your attic suite, my colleagues should have offered you a possibility of relocation to a suite on the 1st or Ground Floor where the windows are larger and there are more chances...

Perfect location! Easy to get to from the train station. Walking distance to restaurants, malls, and a fitness center. Very old and unique hotel but so charming, quiet, peaceful, and full of culture and history. Excellent staff and they all spoke english well. Something interesting was this hotel was originally a home established in 1392. During WWII it suffered serious...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
