great location, and a very attentive host, who made us feel really welcome, nothing was too much. great room, breakfast made just the way you wanted and access to the kitchen at anytime. would happily return tomorrow. we even got used to the stairs!!!
Well what can we say about this wonderful B&B. It has a great location and very easy to walk to all the major attractions. Don’t bother buying a guide book they have them all and both Albert and Paul are wannabe tour guides 😂 they have years of local knowledge to point you in the right direction. Breakfast each day was cooked to order and a good selection you won’t go hungry 😋. The rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated but above all spotlessly clean. We were unfortunate enough to stay here during the coronavirus outbreak and were the only people left in the hotel, but that didn’t stop the owners giving us their full attention they were fantastic. We will be returning to Budapest to see all the things that were closed when we visited and for us there is only one place that we would stay, that is here. …
We had a truly wonderful time. Paul and Albert were excellent hosts. Breakfast was freshly cooked with a large choice of cereals, fruits, cold meats and cheeses, breads and rolls. Meeting other guests around the informal kitchen/breakfast bar was great for swapping ideas and best places to see along with friendly banter from our hosts! Kapital Inn is kept to a very high standard and we felt lucky to have found it.
The Kapital Inn is truly amazing. The best BnB I have stayed in. From the minute we arrived until we left, Albert and Paul were the ultimate hosts. They catered for our every need and were friendly and kind. The inn itself was sparkling clean and elegant in it's decor. The kitchen was WOW!!. Situated very close to all the sights, within walking distance to everywhere. I cannot recommed the Kapital Inn enough.
Travelling as a group of 4 friends on our first visit to Budapest we stayed at the Kapital Inn for 4 nights in February. Budapest is a truly wonderful city and the Kapital Inn is with no doubt the place to stay. Located in a beautiful building, in a lovely area within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions, shopping areas and many fabulous restaurants the location is truly perfect. Also very near to the Metro stop, although we didn’t need to use this on our visit as we walked everywhere. We stayed in the 2 bed-roomed apartment which was spacious, elegant and immaculately clean. We particularly liked the communal kitchen area, the seating around the breakfast bar is a great idea to get guests chatting together and breakfast time was most enjoyable! As for Albert who looked after us amazingly, from carrying our luggage up the 4 flights of stairs on our late arrival, to many tips about where/what to visit, friendly (and very entertaining) banter with all his guests and the wonderful breakfast cooked every morning to order – egg’s fantastic! This is the place to stay in Budapest – thank you, we’ll be back!!! …
My son and I visited Budapest this month, it was a wonderful trip. Without a doubt, staying at the Kapital Inn was the best decision. It completed our vacation. It’s centrally located in a beautifully restored building, just a minute from Andrassy Boulevard and public transportation. The rooms are cozy and pristine. The communal areas inviting and hip. Albert, the innkeeper, is lovable, kind, informative, helpful and prepares stellar omelettes and scrambled eggs. Each morning, he awaited his guests with a warm greeting and lovely breakfast. Did I mention the kitchen, it’s to die for. He took care of us, which is the best feeling when traveling in a foreign country. Also, there’s a beautiful terrace and it was fun meeting guests from around the globe and having the opportunity to break bread with them. One last thing, Albert and his partner Paul alternate weeks, we met Paul when we arrived at midnight, he was patiently waiting for us by the entrance and showed us to our rooms. He too is lovely. So should you stay when Paul is the host, you’ll be well taken care of. Thank you, we will be back, that’s a promise.…
Super friendly and useful staff. Always there to help you and assist you. Top location: walking distance to all the major restaurants, shopping and touristic sites. Truly been a true pleasure to stay and been an amazing experience and few days. Be sure to keep coming back here while in Budapest. A MUST!!!! Thank you
This place was wonderful. The location is great.. in proximity to City Park & the metro system. It was modern and ultra clean. It has an apartment-like ambiance. We met Paul & found him to be very nice & helpful. He does up a customized breakfast, and insisted on helping us with our bags on arrival & departure. Note.. they aren’t kidding about the ‘no elevator’ situation. It’s on the 4th floor, but if you don’t mind all the stairs, it is well worth it.
Beautiful accommodation, and one of the nicest hosts we've had the pleasure of staying with. We enjoyed chatting with Paul over breakfast every morning, and his restaurant tips and info on Budapest really made our visit to Budapest. Would highly recommend staying here!
Kapital Inn was by far our most comfortable stay on our recent European vacation. The kitchen (in the picture picture above the revues) really makes this point. Their kitchen, which all guests could share, was accessible, utilitarian, modern and charming. If you get up before breakfast starts (8:30?) their brilliant Krupps coffee maker will grind and brew a cup at a time (no plastic packaging involved). The kitchen was 20 steps from our bedroom and about three steps from our front door, so quite convenient. Speaking of the kitchen, one night my wife wanted to make goulash (Hungarian style) and she had the beautiful modern kitchen at her finger tips. We bought the makings at the Grand Market and had a great feast that night. Our suite had two bedrooms separated by a comfortable, tastefully decorated living room, giving both bedrooms plenty of privacy. There was a shower/make-up room (the best shower of the trip according to my wife) and separate room for the commode, this expedited getting ready in the mornings. As they say in real estate, location, location, location, it's hard to beat Kapital Inn's location. Kapital Inn is perfect for exploring Budapest. It is just a quiet block away from Andrassy (a main thoroughfare). This puts you almost on top of the Jewish Quarter (home of ruin bars and the hipster enclave), you're a seven minute walk from Heroes' Square going north or an 18 minute walk from the Grand Market in the opposite direction. Andrassy is also on the metro line so the city is wide open to you. If you get turned around on Andrassy just look for the brightly lit "House of Terror" museum, an easy landmark to spot, Kaptital Inn is right behind it. I saved the best for last. Our hosts, Paul and Albert, were also the best we had on our trip. Paul and Albert cook breakfast on an alternating days. They are excellent cooks who seem to have studied under the same chef. Their omelets (which approach perfection) were hard to tell apart. Beyond the scrumptious breakfast (they whipped up daily on request 8:30 - 10:30?) was the stimulating kitchen table conversation. Not only are Albert and Paul raconteurs in their own right, their story telling and conversations seemed to bring out the best in the guests as well. I hung out for extra coffee in kitchen daily, simply for the great conversations engendered by Alfred or Paul. Look at the reviews. They tell the whole story. Kapital Inn is an excellent vacation venue.…
