District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.

During our stay we had a serious family issue and had to leave 2 days before expected. Although it was booked, and already committed, via Booking.com, the desk managed th situation professionally. I contacted Booking and they got in touch with the desk and everything was fixed

Terrible rooms which has dirty carpets, squeaking beds with no support on mattress. Tiny rooms you can barely fit two normal size suit cases inside. Very rude staff who wouldnt even arrange a taxi to pick us up from train station. Very disappointed stay well away from.

I pre booked through easyJet think it was about £20 to £30 worked well for us but plenty of cabs about if not. Good tip above about having local currency

I can't remember the number of the bus but we used our Budapest card for all travel while we were in the city and this included the bus from airport to hotel and back. The official Budapest Card can be purchased online and collected at the airport. It also gives discounts at attractions and restaurants.

Hi, no real tips on the hotel other than hit the breakfast buffet about an hour before it finishes to get the full range. You can walk easily into town (2 min walk) to get to a wide array of restaurants. I recommend the bus tour to get an overview of Budapest and history insights. The boat trip is also good and my favourite spa was st Margaret island. Enjoy! :)

This is the most affordable solution from and to the airport to the city. If your hotel is in Budapest, buy a round trip ticket, the cheapest solution probably. After arrival, look for the sign. Then pay the fee and in 10-15 minutes you'd see your number on the monitor. Tip the guy - $2-3 after... Good luck! Name: minibud service.
