Our stay at the Impulso Fashion Hotel was generally a positive experience. Check in was easy enough, the rooms clean and spacious, good shower. Beds/pillows were comfy, huge and had 2 separate duvets, which was nice. No tea/coffee making facilities but beverages were available in reception 24hrs a day. Limited bar but very reasonably priced. Breakfast was plentiful, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, eggs, meats, pastries and sweet things. Slowest toaster in the world, my advice is put your toast in then go eat cereal while you wait. Now for the real downside. We were in room 102 which is at the front of the hotel. Quite a noisy neighbourhood during the night. The trams start up around 4am and thunderously travel right outside the hotel. Ask to stay at the back if possible! Our room was quite hot during the night, not helped by the plastic under sheet but understand the reason for those. The air con did not work and we were promised an engineer but they didn’t arrive. Too noisy to sleep with the window open. The neighbourhood isn’t the best but did not encounter any problems. Near to small park, Metro, trams, Tesco Express, McDonalds and a 30 minute walk to the Danube. All in all a good, budget hotel but would insist on a room at the back if I were to visit again.…
The hotel is great, very clean, rooms are ideal and the staff very friendly. It's a real shame about the street it is on, there is a group people over the road sat drinking cans all day, some in wheelchairs and suspect the group to not only just drinking if you know what I mean. The hotel is a 5min walk to McDonald's and some restaurants however a good 30-50min walk to the main areas of interest.
Nice, clean hotel. Near the heart of the city. Good service, nice breakfast. A little bit more equpment needed in the room, like wine glasses, bottle opener, shoe horn etc. A little suspect how the air condition works on a hot day. While we visited it was a little cold so we could keep the window open.
This hotel is situated close to the tram and train station and Tesco 2 mins away. The room is good size, clean and has a fridge too. There is tea, coffee, juices and fruits throughout the day available to guest. They also have a decorative cozy reception area as well as have a luggage & conference room. However, unfortunately the shower facilities is not very good, low water pressure and fairly small shower base. Additionally, it is not a safe area in the night.
Had a lovely time here at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful and our room was very clean. The location is great as you are only a walk away from all the bars, cafes etc. I stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Budapest
The location is good very close to green metro M4 and trams and M2. The hotel is modern and good breakfast selection with free coffee, tea and juice all day. Rooms are modern and the bed was ok but the room is very hot. You cannot open the window as the noise from the trams is very loud. However I do suggest earplugs as the noise from outside the room is bad also we had dogs barking, screaming and shouting, clapping and the housekeeping from 8am. This is such a shame as we have stayed at their sister hotel down the road and the room here is much better and modern.
Good points: - coffee and juice in lobby - able to check in early - friendly staff - nicely decorated room / good size - next to Tesco and Lidl - room restocked with water everyday - nice full length mirror - lights don’t need a key card to stay on - maids are friendly and helpful - tram/metro stop outside Bad points: - shower pressure terrible, wouldn’t even be able to wash my hair with it. Water goes hot and cold - bad lighting in the room, very dark (however might not bother everyone) - pillows rock solid - room can feel too cold, or gets quite hot. Can’t control the temperature - bathroom is always cold - Towels are really small Good hotel all in all, small changes would make it great
A lovely hotel, very clean, beautiful and modern rooms. Breakfast is delicious, a wide variety of meats, hot food and cold including fruits and pastries. Great coffee, tea and juices too (available all day long)! The location is great, everything is a 10 minute drive away or walkable. Closest train station is a few minutes away. One thing I would note is that the area doesn’t seem the safest so I would avoid walking back late at night. Apart from that, a great hotel and well worth it!
Although the outside is a bit unprepossessing the Impulso is a charming hotel. Nicely decorated and always comfortably warm the staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with lots of choice and there is free coffee and juice always available. Our room was in the attic area with a sloping roof to one side and a skylight offering lovely rooftop views of the city across to St Stephens. It was funky and well appointed with a comfortable bed and neat bathroom. The hotel is well located for trams and metro in to the city centre but we often walked in to the centre which was about a twenty minute stroll. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Impulso as an ideal base for exploring Budapest.
Great hotel on a budget. We were recommended this hotel when the one we booked cancelled, and we weren’t disappointed. Not a brilliant looking area but really close to the Metro stop so really convenient for getting into the city - literally two stops on the very cheap Underground. The nearest station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is nicely decorated in a modern, minimalist way. Reception staff friendly and helpful, providing us with a map and circling the key areas to visit and best way to get there. Masks also available, and everyone wore them, except the other English guests! Our room was large (booked a twin) with a sofa, comfortable, although narrow, twin beds, modern shower room. No coffee making facilities in the room, but free coffee and juice etc available all day in reception. There was a fridge in the room to cool the (provided) bottled water. Breakfast buffet had loads of choice - hot food, yogurts, fruit, pastries and bread etc all plentiful. Secure luggage storage also available after check out before our flight was also useful.…
