Elegant and clean. Breakfast sufficient. Friendly English speaking staff. Aircon! TV and wifi. Good location and near public transport. Rooms are a bit small. Bathrooms also small. Mini bar available.

Delightful boutique hotel created with respect and artistry as well as elegance from the third floor (second in European parlance) of an Art Nouveau palace that is quintessentially Budapest. Rooms are small but elegant with 14-foot ceilings and -- marvel of marvels in European hotels -- air conditioning! There is a Metro stop literally at the door, Wifi and a...

We stayed at Leo Panzio for 4 nights. It's a bit scary looking from the outside- the building is old and dirty and you have to go up to the second floor to get to the hotel area. However, once inside the hotel it is very clean. The rooms are reasonable big with very high ceilings so they seem quite...

Situated in an old building on the 4th floor (with lift) makes you feel like a resident &knot a visitor. I Enjoyed the close proximity to Danube River, City Market Hall & Vaci Street and all the other main attractions. I hardly used my Budspest card! The hotel staff (Peter) was so helpful & friendly, the breakfast was more than...

Note: the building works outside have now finished Look out for the lift to get to the 2nd floor entry. Near to the river (start of boat trips) and the no 2 tram stop which takes you along the Danube. The No 16 bus stop which takes you over the river and up Castle Hill is a 5 minute walk...

The location is terrific as you can walk to pretty much everywhere you might want to go. At present, the location is also a little problematic as the Leo is in the middle of the ongoing urbanization project in Budapest's center and the surrounding streets are a mess. Getting in might be challenging for some, but we figured out the...

Clean hotel and great price. The location is very convenient because it is near to the center of "Pest". One defect bathrooms without windows and hotel too close to the road(too much noise). advice for a low cost week-end.

We found the reception and other staff very helpful .the hotel was having roadworks outside as most places in Budapest are, but this was still a quiet hotel so slept well. Ask for front rooms as these rooms have windows facing the interesting street. The back rooms are dark, facing inner courtyard.

After having a very bad experience with a hotel which ended up not existing, me and my friends booked into the Leo and basically walked off the street several minutes later into somewhere we were not expecting to be very nice at all. What we were greeted with were very nice, excellent English speaking staff and comfortable rooms. From the...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
