Everything about the hotel is even better than you expect. The rooms have modern, sleek furnishings, and are impeccably clean. Being a boutique hotel, something about the layout and windows gives the rooms a lot of natural light, which for me immediately sets the hotel apart from other options in the city. The rooms all have lovely coffee and tea options (kettle and Nespresso), small comforts that really make a difference when you travel, and the mini bar is so reasonably priced that you actually want to buy things from it (this has never happened to me before). A pretty good breakfast with a lot of variety and juice/champagne is included. The location is perfect for walking around the city, and when you return home at night, the Tuk Tuk bar next door makes some seriously good cocktails. There's also a sauna and gym, but we didn't really use them. Service is friendly, polite, and unobtrusive. All this, and it manages to be pretty affordable on top of it. Casati will definitely be our first choice when we return to Budapest!

We loved Hotel Casati. Stylish and good sized rooms in a beautifully renovated turn on the century building. Staff friendly and informative. Location marvellous - very close to the Opera House (metro station), Jewish quarter, bus terminus from the airport - everything is accessible on foot. The breakfast deserves a special mention - a lovely selection of fresh produce to suit all breakfast tastes, served in a lovely room with glass roof and lovely chilled out music. And it's served till 11am on weekends! There's a small gym, a sauna, access to a computer and printer. No road noise from our room as the window faced onto the inner courtyard. A small amount of noise from other guests in the corridor but standard for a city hotel.

In terms of style, value for money and the quality of breakfast it's one of the very best city hotels we've ever stayed in.

First off, the hotel is very well located; right in the centre of the Jewish Quarter, near the main ruin bar (Szimpla Kert), close to the metro and surrounded by lots of restaurants.
The staff were very friendly at all times, checking us in swiftly and kindly ordering us a taxi when we departed.
The hotel is hidden away on a quiet back-street, away from the main roads. I had some quiet nights sleep but the temperature in the room was too hot for my liking, and the air conditioning did little to help.
A warning, the bathroom and shower compartment has completely see-through glass panes instead of walls, with only a bit of frosted parts to cover modesty. If you're not a couple or not particularly close, this may be a problem for you.
Breakfast is delicious, a nice range of pastries, fruit, cereal, cold meat, cheese and bread to choose from.
The Tiki Bar is located in the hotel and serves some amazing cocktails, not to be missed!
All in all a good place to stay if you're in Budapest for a long weekend.

We spend three nights at this wonderful hotel in Budapest at the end of our Danube River Cruise. We are so impressed by the personal and professional service the staff provided us.

Not only tour of Budapest guidance, the staffers happily assisted us with recommendations for good restaurants that locals love, booking of Covid tests, ordering a taxi for early morning flight, keeping the room clean and functioning perfectly, incredibly large selection of complimentary breakfast and so on. We walked and took Hop-On-and-Off tour buss from this City Center location.
The hotel itself is wonderfully decorated combining modern art and remaining 200 years old building. We stayed in one of classic room and was very happy with how roomy it was.

Special thanks for Tunde and Adam for their personalized help. I did not get names but house keeping lead and breakfast room attendants made sure that we have everything we need and more. Strong recommendation for anyone staying in Budapest.

Note: We went to Budapest by ship, fully vaccinated and tested negative in Covid test. Masks were not required indoor or outdoor except medical facilities in Hungary as of October 2021 .

Stayed here with my girlfriend over our anniversary, and was greeted by a nice welcome and a bottle of cava. The room was exceptionally clean, spacious and comfortable. Could not have asked for a better location, spent the entire 4 days walking around Budapest, without ever feeling anything was too far away. The breakfast products was good, but the actual breakfast room/lobby was fantastic with lots of natural light and attentive staff. There is a gym with free weights up to 10kg and a few cardio machines, kettlebells, yoga matts and balls. The Sauna is also a g
reat touch.

The hotel bar – Tuk Tuk bar – is a really cool and unique concept with an East Asian theme and has some great drinks. The constant refill of cucumber water is honestly one of the best things I have experienced in a bar.

Only (small) minus would be the TV channel selection – there are only 2-3 english channels, and 2 of them being American financial news.

All in all, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend staying here. We will definitely be visiting Budapest again, and Casati :)

I was greatly pleased to read about your satisfaction with our location in the quiet yet central Paulay Ede street. Many thanks for mentioning your experience regarding the included breakfast too. I hope you were able to leave for a day of sightseeing and exploring after a filling and delicious meal. Last but not least, I would like to thank you for mentioning our adjoining Tuk Tuk Bar as well. A great choice for socializing with locals and tourists from around the world, or just to relax with a tasty cocktail after a long day in the city. We would be delighted if you would return to us in the future. Kind regards Gábor Erdős General Manager

We could not imagine a better place to stay in Budapest. We stayed 5 nights, and everything about the hotel met or exceeded our expectations, and we'd spent a good bit of time choosing. The room and bathroom were very clean, as was the rest of the hotel, and there was a buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheeses, many pastries, all kinds of fruit, yogurts, and best of all, an automatic coffee machine that made café lattes, cappuccinos, espressos, etc., and it was available 24 hours! The elevator was vey fast, and never seemed like you had to wait on it. We stayed in a Natural style room # 46 overlooking the beautiful courtyard, which we had requested, and it was completely quiet. The breakfast area and adjacent seating area had lots of interesting architectural detailing and a glass ceiling that let you see the courtyard above. From our initial check in with friendly Tunde to our interactions with the breakfast staff and front desk staff, everyone we met was genuinely friendly and helpful, and we joked that they'd somehow managed to put the friendliest people in Budapest at out hotel! Without me mentioning that it was my birthday, they had set a bottle of champagne and chocolates and a birthday message in the room when we came in for the evening, which says it all. The wi-fi worked flawlessly, water was hot with good pressure, there was a mini-fridge if you had leftover food, little shampoo bottles and soap. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the main M1 metro stop at the Opera, and it was only several minutes walk to some good restaurants and ruin pubs. The bed was also very comfortable, and the room was plenty spacious. Excellent hotel, and thanks to Casati Budapest Hotel staff for making our stay so wonderful!

Casati Budapest Hotel is by far the best hotel you can find in Pest. The location is amazing, you can reach everything just by walking (it's not 5 minutes, but if you don't mind a 20-30 minute walk is totally doable). For Harry Potter fans, THE MAGIC restaurant is 5 minutes' walking (make sure you reserve a table days before). The hotel has a modern style, the staff is always ready to help (they even let us stay more than one hour after the check-out in a common area because it was too cold to stay outside and we had to wait to go to the airport). The room has everything you need (the only thing that could be better is the hairdryer, if you have VERY long hair, bring one). The only "not amazing" thing is the sweet side of the breakfast (Italian eat sweet in the morning and there's not much choice), but there's plenty of choice on the salty side so it's ok anyways. Just a recommendation: don't wear heavy pyjamas because the heating works amazingly and you won't be cold! Loved it and totally would stay again!

What a surprise to find such a nicely renovated small boutique hotel on this side street in Budapest. We had a nice room on the 5th floor, nice amenities and extremely clean. The staff was very helpful in recommending an authenic Hugarian restaurant nearby that was delicious and inexpensive. We would certainly book this hotel again if we were to return to Budapest. We visited in November of 2019.

Our week in Budapest took a turn for the worse when I had to spend 8 nights in a public hospital for a collapsed lung and surgery. The staff at Casati was an enormous help and place of support for my husband. Patients in public hospitals must supply everything they need for their stay : toilet paper, tissues, towels, spoons, bottled water, and food. The hotel staff let my husband bring hotel towels, tp, breakfast food and loaned him a portable hairdryer to bring to the hospital to make my stay more comfortable. When our week reservation was nearing the end and my husband (and later I) needed a place to stay for an additional 3 weeks (Casati was fully booked) they called other hotels and found a comparable place for us to stay. Of course, Casati is a wonderful place to stay - huge shower, comfortable bed, mini fridge in a spacious room, quiet, clean and our room overlooked a gorgeous courtyard filled with plants. But where Casati really shines is the kindness and compassion shown to us when we were faced with a frightening situation.

A small hotel in a relatively quiet side street, although work is currently in progress on the property next door to convert it to a hotel so some daytime noise is heard from around 0700 each morning. The room we had, number 11, faced the street, most of the other rooms faced into a courtyard area and may be a better choice if asked for prior to arriving.

The room was air conditioned, however because the air conditioner was in a lobby area between bathroom and sleeping area it wasn't totally effective in keeping the room as cool as we would have liked in the almost 30c heat, other rooms may be set up differently of course.

One small lift to all floors for both guest and housekeeping staff to use, so at times a bit of a wait to go up.

Breakfast was of the enhanced continental variety with some variations of food each day, all fresh and very nice, plenty of seating either in the breakfast room or in the adjacent lounge area. Also, hot and cold drinks available during the day, occasionally some pastries as well.

A couple of be awares, firstly the shower had good anti slip floors, but no handrails, and the toilets are very low.
Secondly beware of clear plate glass doors which do not have any safety markings across them despite it being a requirement under EU Health and Safety rules (Google - manifestation on glass doors), especially the one between the entry lobby and office which is normally open so you may not even notice it until you walk into at some point as I did.

Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful, with English being understood to some degree by all those we came into contact with.

Would I return, yes of course, but please, if the management is reading this, sort out those door safety markings before someone less fortunate than me ends up in hospital!

What is for the the cost to arrange pickup from the airport?
Answer from HelenMN
Berkhamsted, United Kingdom50 contributions25 helpful votes
We used the bus service (100E) from the airport, it's only about 3 Euro one way for a 35-40 minute trip. When we arrived we bought our tickets at the information desk in the airport terminal rather than queue to use the unfamiliar ticket machine near the bus stop. You can pay the driver but it's easier and quicker to get tickets in advance.

I’m not sure what you mean by natural rooms. We stayed in a junior suite (I think 3rd floor) which overlooked the courtyard. You’d be better off asking the hotel.
