It was a last minute booking, I was given a room in the new part of the hotel. The room was nice, big, fresh linnen and towels, new bathroom with huge shower. The breakfast offers a variety of food so I liked it a lot. The cost of garage is 10€ per night which is a lot, considering that the...

The only merit of this hotel is it's location in Buda. Parking in garage costs 10 euros per night! Btw, parking on the streets in the weekends is free, so there is no need to pay too much. Breakfast was various, no complaints about that. But the room was wet. First we thought that sheets and duvet covers are wet...

I stayed here for 3 nights in August and I had a really pleasant time. Staff were friendly and helpfull, my room was clean and tidy. The city centre was very close, I could reach it easily. Weather was great for my stay, so I really had an amazing time in Budapest :)

If you set your expectations according to the price you pay for the room, no disappointment will occur. It is quite cheap for its location. The city center is at 15 min walking. They should improve their breakfast menu. If you need a hair dryer, ask at the reception.

Felt unsafe, staff unfriendly... One was quite perverse! Bedrooms were ok but quite a walk 😕 wouldn't stay again. Stayed for a week. Wouldn't stay again unless it was for a night. (Easy taxi ride from airport so over night stay before moving to a nicer hotel is a definite option for me in future)

Read reviews, not sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. Yes they are doing building work and you could have a long walk from reception but that meant a quieter room away from the road. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Reception staff as helpful as they could be. Unfortunately we had room in the roof which was incredibly hot...

We stayed there for a night, and almost all the time we were walking in the city so we didn't stay that much time at the hotel. But for the price we paid, it was pretty decent. But you have to pay 10 euros for the garage, and the breakfast was decent.

It was a nice and pleasant hotel. The staff was helpful and easy to gain information from them. Rooms are okay and the breakfast was quite good. It was healthy and filling. I think I will return in the close future.

One star hotel at best. Only cleaning they did in the room was to empty the bathroom bin once in 4 days! Beds not made, bathroom not cleaned. No tea/coffee facilities, no fixing for shower so had to be hand held. Not close to any amenities or the centre. Would not return.

Staying in Gellert Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Gellert Hill
If you want to treat your camera to some amazing scenery, Gellért Hill is a must on your itinerary. A funicular journey from the Chain Bridge along the hillsides provides a fast connection between Buda and Pest, hoisting visitors to panoramic vistas. Once on top of the hill, you’ll find the Citadel dominate the landscape with its imposing 19th century construction, a site that’s hard to keep your eyes on without being distracted by the phenomenal view over the Danube and the eight bridges crossing. Once on Gellért Hill however, one mustn’t miss the famous Gellért Baths. Budapest is renown for its thermal waters and its baths, and the Gellért Baths are housed in an impressive art nouveau structure. Its interior design, with its many mosaics, recalls the preceding relationships the city has had with healing springs and saunas, traditionally used within this neighborhood since the Ottoman Empire.
