Good quality furniture in 20-century classic style, a rich choice of breakfast 🍳 very tasty food, reasonable price central at District 7 helpful staff. I left my baggage at the reception without any extra cost even though I check out in the morning I collected my baggage at 10 pm and they were very friendly so I would say I recommend it to anyone.

First the upside: Location is good close to many tourist attractions. It is easy to get to public transport from the hotel. The prices are cheap. Downside: The hotel is old and worn out, beds are not comfortable, the rooms are outdated. Breakfast is descent, but if you can book the hotel without breakfast do that, since there are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby that offers a better quality for the same amount. I would have preferred to give the hotel 2½ stars. It is ok to book if you only look at location and price. I would recommend though to look elsewhere, there is many options in town at the same price level, both hotels and Airbnb.

The pros - The room and bathroom were a decent size and it was nice and warm given the cold outside. The staff were friendly and helpful which always goes a long way. The breakfast too was fine to get me started for the day. The hotel is walking distance from the tram and the metro which will get you all over the city. The cons - The fridge didn't work, which wasn't a huge issue for me as I was only there a few days so I didn't raise it. However the bed had such a thin mattress and was so hard that I struggled to sleep, and woke up in the mornings with some aches. I'm the sort of traveller who is out and about all day so I'm never bothered about any added amenities, but this was a bit of an issue for me. If the mattress comfort can be improved, then I would recommend staying here. Everything else was good.

A small, bit old fashioned hotel. Friendly atmosphere, good location. I had room 101, a spacious room, with high ceilings. The hotel is a bit noisy, but in general all the guests seemed to realize that, so no problem really. Breakfast was sufficient.

This hotel is very convenient to the city, with a metro only a 5 mins walk away. The hotel is good value for money as it is inexpensive. The young man on the front desk was always lovely and welcoming to us and the ladies doing the breakfast were also lovely. The hotel is dated but has everything you need. The shower head holder on the wall was missing a screw so the water was directed at the wall, this was a pain. The foam from the shower gel came up in the middle of the bathroom floor through another drain, this then wet the floor and made it slippy. The breakfast was very limited, I was unable to eat most of it. The kind lady at breakfast went out of her way to go buy gluten free bread for me as there was none at the hotel. We could hear some noise coming from outside while in the room but it was tolerable, however everytime someone showered or flushed the toilet the water made a lot of noise. The mini fridge also didn't work, we tried plugging it in but it made a lot of noise and didn't sound right so we unplugged it again as didn't trust it. The air con system is also extremely noisy, we wanted to have some heat on during the night but had to turn it off due to the noise, this then left us very cold as there were only 2 single quilts for 2 people sharing instead of a bigger quilt. Other than that the room was spacious and generally met our needs. The walls aren't too thick as we could hear talking in other rooms.

I can say that the staff at this hotel were friendly and helpful. They kept the room clean. The bed was just a little uncomfortable but still it was kept nice and clean. If I go to Budapest again I would still stay at this hotel.

Stayed here with 16 friends for a long weekend, we chose the hotel for the price and location. Yes it’s dated but it has a charm about it with very spacious rooms and it’s clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and smiling which goes a long way. It’s location for the price you pay is great for exploring the city being only 5 mins walk from the Octogon. From here you can catch trams and buses to most locations. The river is about 20 mins walk (I walk quite fast) with the castle accessible across the bridge. The bars and nightlife are all within staggering distance or a short cab ride so perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay here and although I only gave it average I would recommend it.

This one here isn't a unique hotel or any significant. You even feel the difference between whose behind the reception desk. We stayed here over 5 nights. We enjoyed our stay, but this is not a splendid hotel. The beds was hard for us. Some might enjoy that, but we don't. Secondly, the voices from the next room and noises from the water-system was annoying. This destroyed our sleep and especially in the mornings. Not a hotel for light-sleepers. The breakfast wasn't anything special and if you came late like after 09:00. There was often empty or lacking things. There was minor tweeks between the days. But nothing that blown us away. We just enjoyed and it was an inter-continental breakfast with some Hungarian treats. We got good help from the receptionist in the mornings, but the ones in the evening was just saying "use google map". So, we could feel the difference in the eyes of service. What is grand about the place is the closeness to the tram, one stop away from the Octagon and metro there. You can easily access Budapest and get to the river to cross to Buda/Obuda even from the Pest side. We really enjoyed this perk and got away to the places we wanted to go. Also, easy to return to the hotel and short walk from the nearest stop. Last thing that was great, it has plenty of eating out options closeby. Both the quick fast-food, the new vibrant things and also fine dining. It was in the heart of Pest in district 7. What was also good, was a functioning mini-bar, where we could put in beers and cold snacks to enjoy in the evening. Also across from the hotel was an ABC where we did some minor shopping for groceries. So, the stay was fine, but nothing unique. Except for the location which was for us. Perfect.

Room Tip: Got no good advice really, think the noise will be similar because of how the hotel is built.

I spent three nights (arriving Tuesday and departing Friday) here in August. Check in was quick and simple. Check out was equally quick, despite a sign in the room warning you to allow for extra time for that process. The room was larger than I expected for a budget hotel with nice furnishings. The area is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and bars, making it very easy to find supplies or just places for a nightcap. Despite being a block away from the major road, it could still be a bit noisy with the windows open, but I suppose that's the trade off for having shops and pubs so close. Everything was clean and I had no problems with the room or bathroom facilities. The breakfast offerings were a bit nicer than average with some extra variety you don't always find at the budget hotel. Bottom lines- Location: Convenient to everything! 15 minutes walk to the train station or airport bus stops. 20 minutes to the river front and all the sights. Metro and other bus stops are even closer. Facilities: Above average for the price. Room could be a bit warm or noisy, but not bad enough to warrant complaints. The mini fridge in the room was a nice extra touch. Great breakfast. Staff: 24 hour reception desk with very friendly and helpful people.
