The Corinthia is a beautiful hotel centrally located on the Pest side of the city. You are impressed as soon as entering the expansive lobby. The entire staff was friendly and helpful during our two night stay. The dining room in the atrium is exquisite. We only had breakfast there but it was very good. The room itself was spacious and very clean. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We at first planned to stay 2 nights but in the end stayed 8 nights. The hotel was perfect. Great room, quiet and very clean. Plenty of hot water. Great room service. Huge breakfast options. We can highly recommend staying here. Very easy to get around and the tram stop is right in front of the hotel.

We had two nights as part of a tour and paid for a two night extension so I know this is not a budget hotel. The more you pay the greater expections. This hotel is in a convenient location for bars, eateries and transport. It is spacious and we had a large room. The first disappointment was to find that another £28 a day was needed to have a swim. Although large our room had a tired settee and we had numerous issues with room service. Only large bath towels for our last night, no face cloths, no t-bags after 1st day, bath mats as hand towels and miniscule toiletries. The last straw was when somebody entered our room on the last morning without knocking and my wife was naked. We raised all these points with the hotel before leaving

We were so relieved when we arrived at the hotel. There was staff ready to take our suitcases from the taxi to the front desk. Check in was easy and we were able to check in early. The room was spacious. Our beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. We loved the extensive European breakfast which we ate in the atrium area. It was perfect as the weather was inclement. After dinner we enjoyed music in the lounge.

We stayed at the Corinthia Grand Royal Hotel before our trip on the Danbu River with Gate1 Travel. The hotel is beautiful. The location is a perfect spot while visiting Budapest. The staff was friendly and helpful especially our evening bar tinder Kuba. We had great conversations and he gave up tips on traveling the streets of the City. The food at the hotel is fantastic and the drink selection in the bar was even more amazing with their specialized mixes. Thanks for the experience.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a Viking Cruise extension in Budapest. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room (Deluxe) was exceptionally large, possibly the largest room we have had in any hotel in Europe. The hotel public areas and our room was exceptionally clean. The hotel is an older historic hotel and has character. The staff we encountered was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was great quality and plentiful. Location is close to public transportation and is in a walkable area. We will definately stay at this hotel again.

We spent two nights here as part of a pre-cruise stay with Gate 1 (Viking also stayed here). The room was very nice, the staff was friendly and professional, and the included breakfast was terrific. The breakfast was a buffet with many options as well as an omelet bar. We walked to many of the main attractions on the Pest side. A great stay.

The hotel is truly beautiful, but the service is what sets it apart. We had (many) drinks in the lobby bar, and Joecyfin, Kamran, and the whole team made it so special. Grab a drink - best in the city.

This is a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, but the service and cleanliness of the hotel is certainly not that of a five star standard. Arrival & check-in: Unlike most five star hotels, the Corinthia Budapest did not have door staff ready and waiting to greet us at the front door. Rather, we were met by two sets of glass doors which we had to push open whilst also carrying our heavy luggage. Once inside, we were greeted by a member of staff who took our bags and directed us to the check-in desk. The staff member who checked us in was polite, but lacked warmth and came across as robotic. They also said that they would be taking payment from me at the end of our stay, but then proceeded to take payment there and then. They also forgot to mention that they were going to apply an additional £100 deposit to the bill, which would then be refunded following our stay (I had to follow this up with the hotel after I checked my account). It is standard practice for hotels to add a deposit, but this should be communicated clearly. The room: The room we were allocated was located on the fourth floor (No.4211) in between the lobby and the atrium restaurant. The room itself was lovely, but unfortunately was not 100% clean. There was dust around the coffee table and stains left on the toilet. Shortly after arriving in our room, we were delivered a bottle of champagne and a cake as a welcome treat (the cake was delicious!!!). In the evening, from approximately 19:00 - 22:30 music can be heard in the room coming from the restaurant. This didn’t particularly bother us, but if you’re someone who likes to go to bed early, this would have been annoying as the volume is very loud. The shower in the bathroom was also not great. The head of the shower was covered in limescale and the shower leaked water onto the bathroom floor whenever we used it. We had our room cleaned every day, but unfortunately the cleaners didn’t replace or clean many of the items in the room (i.e., cups, glasses, spoons, milk, water…), which made it difficult to have hot drinks in the room. Also, rather oddly, we were not given a teaspoon. On one occasion, we had to ask the hotel three times to replace our cups, as our request appeared to be getting ignored. This was same for the bathrobes (which were falling apart), we had to ask the hotel four times for new robes before we were given any. In fairness, we were given a complementary bottle of wine for the inconvenience, but the fact that we had to ask so many times for something so basic felt unnecessary. There were also shards of glass on the carpet outside or room door. I picked up the pieces that I could see, but we continued to notice broken glass outside our door. This was worrying given that people were walking in their slippers from their room to and from the spa. In-room Dinning: We ordered room service twice during our visit. The food was absolutely fantastic and was very reasonably priced! However, the first night we ordered food, I was bizarrely accused by the member of staff who delivered the food to our room that I had given them the wrong room number… which I hadn’t. This was made all the more strange, as the hotel can already tell what room you’re in when you make a call from the in-room phone. The staff member was adamant that I had made a mistake and was determined to ensure that I knew about it. As a customer, I can honestly say I have never experienced this before… Spa: Honestly, it’s fantastic! The spa arguably had the best steam room I have ever been in. The staff are also welcoming and friendly. Le Bar: Great atmosphere and the cocktails are next level!!! I would fully recommend a whisky sour. Breakfast: This is a buffet breakfast. The food is delicious and the staff are really helpful. There is also an egg chef who can make you an omelette to your liking. Also, a big shout out to Panna, who welcomed us to the restaurant every morning. Panna’s customer service skills are fantastic and she made us feel really welcome. Overall, this is a good hotel that has a lot to offer. However, you will leave disappointed if you are expecting a 5* experience.
