Staff very helpful and friendly and speak good english. The lounge/bar area is comfortable with settees and armchairs and pleasant decor. Our room was spacious and clean with plenty of towels and toiletries, perhaps the curtains needed rehanging but overall very good. Breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice of cereals, eggs, bacon, rolls, cheeses, cold meats and jams...

The decor is basic and a little dated however the hotel is extremely clean. For the price you pay this hotel is very good value for money. The breakfast is what you'd expect and caters for all. The highlight to this stay is the staff, they're friendly and helpful no matter what time of day or night and really make...

Perfect for our short break, the staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is well located, with very easy access via buses and trams, just a few minutes walk away. A 4-5 minute walk around the corner, jump on the 112 / 110 or 8E and in a few minutes you are over the bridge in Pest, right...

Breakfast was good and lots of it - eggs etc plus cold cuts and fruit cereal etc. There was a bar although no restaurant. There...

Very clean, comfy beds, helpful staff. You may think on arriving that it's a bit out of things but there's a bus stop just around the corner that takes you into the centre and the castle is walking distance.

We were lucky enough to have a short break for £99 from the Metro paper and we're a located this hotel. What a find , this a small hotel on the main transport routes through Budapest, near to the Citadel, has great, helpful staff, clean rooms and a decent buffet breakfast. The nearest bus and tram stops are only 40m...

Upon arrival we was greeted by a friendly man known as Sylvester, he immediately told me and my partner about the local shopping centres, tours, and activities to do which was greatly appreciated. We also was told by Sylvester about the best ways of getting around Budapest and asked every question we threw at him. When entering our Hotel room,...

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. However, if you are looking for a couples break this is not the hotel to stay at. They do not provide double beds, they push two single beds together with single duvets. The single beds do not fit together properly, you are left with a large gap in-between which I guarantee...

Staying in Gellert Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Gellert Hill
If you want to treat your camera to some amazing scenery, Gellért Hill is a must on your itinerary. A funicular journey from the Chain Bridge along the hillsides provides a fast connection between Buda and Pest, hoisting visitors to panoramic vistas. Once on top of the hill, you’ll find the Citadel dominate the landscape with its imposing 19th century construction, a site that’s hard to keep your eyes on without being distracted by the phenomenal view over the Danube and the eight bridges crossing. Once on Gellért Hill however, one mustn’t miss the famous Gellért Baths. Budapest is renown for its thermal waters and its baths, and the Gellért Baths are housed in an impressive art nouveau structure. Its interior design, with its many mosaics, recalls the preceding relationships the city has had with healing springs and saunas, traditionally used within this neighborhood since the Ottoman Empire.
