This was my first visit to Budapest its one of the oldest cities in Europe it has nice views on the Danube River ,The hotel is central and next to main train station ,the rooms need to get renovated ,also there was no shampoo in the bathroom ,the room had no safe to put your valuables when I asked for... Room was clean and nice. But it has not been shampoo or lotion in the bathroom, which is strange for 4 star hotel, as for me. Breakfast has different types of dishes, you can choose whatever you want. Very good location, near the underground. I like it!

The hotel is older; the rooms are noisy and dirty. In general, the impression was not good. It is not appropriate to business trip because it is full of big groups and the facilities are not according with this capacity (elevators, breakfast in the morning).

Hotel was a 15 min walk from a more lively area. The hotel had friendly and helpful staff, all spoke reasonably good English. You had to ask for coffee and tea sachets every day, not left in your rooms and if you wanted an iron you had to go for a voucher and go to a seperate room - not... More

Hotel not suitable for business trips. Hotel with poor conditions in need of renovation. Rooms noisy due to trafic (even though in 7th floor), wc renovation and the curtains could not block the sun entirely. Hotel was completly crowded with elderly people that made breakfast a nightmare with lack of food and queues everywere. Staff was also not polite and... More

This is a big old hotel. I guess it was 4stars when it was built but I don't rate it 4 stars now. Situated very close to Keleti station where one can easily take the underground, train or bus. A 30 minutes down the road takes you to Vaci street that is a very nice street full of shops. The... More

Excellent hotel, good value. My partner however was swindled by a fake police officer in front of the hotel, producing fake ID. It is believed that such scams are common on the area round Keleti station. But the hotel itself is one we would thoroughly recommend.

It was very good stay! Brakefast wasnt so good. It is realy a place to inrich it. At the last day we had a late flight, we asked for a late chak out, we didnt get it because the hotel was full. One of the man in the reception wasnt so nice to me, the others were very kind.

Don't come here expecting luxury. You won't get it. What you will get is a clean room, air conditioner, working tv with foreign channels and a location that's only a 5 minute walk from the main train station and subway. If you pay extra you can get the free breakfast buffet but I recommend getting a coffee and pastry on... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
