I absolutely loved everything about this hotel. Staff are wonderful, building is beautiful. It’s my new happy place. You feel completely cared for in a genuine way. Best sleep in a long time as well. Just wonderful.
I enjoyed my meals at the restaurants and the restaurant staff. The treatment itself at the spa was very good. However, the spa had a photographer, model and another person taking pictures of the spa during my visit. They left for a whole 40 minutes before appearing again blocking the entrance to the female steam room, sauna and showers. Who wants to spend $390 USD for a spa experience and share it with a photography team? I would have appreciated the curtsy of an email alerting me and I could have rescheduled to a different day or not come. I left annoyed; not what one wants when spending so much for a spa experience. There was not an offer to discount my service or do anything to make up for it. Small gestures like this make customer service and I would not have written a review. Thank you. …
We recently had the opportunity to stay at the Four Seasons Gresham Palace while visiting Budapest and the property certainly exemplifies the Four Seasons brand. The General Manager took a hands on approach to my initial inquiry and ensured an exceptional experience in Budapest. The property is historic and pristine, the staff was accommodating and courteous, and the attention to detail and service overall worthy of a true five (5) star rating. I cannot say enough about this gem in the middle of a beautiful old European capital. It is rare that I recommended a hotel without reservation,,, the Gresham Palace, her elite manager, staff and entire approach to customer experience make this one easy: Book without hesitation. You will not be disappointed. Cheers Budapest!
We staid here in October 2014. What a spectacular hotel this was! We visited Budapest a couple of times and this is just another level from nearby hotels like Intercontinental (it is better mentioned than Intercontinental and does not look tired) and Hard rock (better location and service than HRC). It is a beautiful palace with a spectacular location that is super convenient for exploring Budapest on foot. Service, as it is always the case with 4s was spectacular. Food was amazing! Just thinking of it make me want to go back!
Honestly one of the best Hotels in Budapest the staff is so kind and helpful. I has hosted by Andrea she helped me find the best places. Thank you Andrea, and please stay as kind as you are. Andrea told me about the history of the hotel which was very professional for a staff member. Gresham Restaurant is a must go in Budapest the food is amazing. 😍😍 I would love to come back 😘
Can't be possible to find unprofessional barman at Four Season Hotel but here it's possible!!! Can you imagine a barman chatting with customers about others customers present at the bar? Can you imagine a barman not listening customer requests? NO, at high quality hotels worldwide but looks like in Budapest this simple rules is not applied, at Four Season Hotel. Train your staff, recruit them already educated and maybe you'll be able to have also seriously rich customers.
Afternoon tea at the four seasons was nice I think my favourite was the plain scones clotted cream and jam. I'm not a fan of quiche or caviar or pumpkin sandwichs so maybe this selection just wasnt for me. When we asked for vegetarian sandwiches on the day there was no availability as the kitchen need notice. However Zolton did everything he could to get us some lovely alternative things to eat. Lilla had managed the booking from inception and on the day made sure everything was executed to perfection for the birthday tea. Lilla was an absolute pleasure to deal with virtually then even better when I met her in real life. A final big thank you to David at concierge who sorted out dinner reservations at Deryne considering everything was booked up or closed he did his best to help us out at short notice. Bella at the spa really looked after us while we were in the spa. We had asked for advice on chimney cake to local cuisine she was full of information and keen to help. Really lovely warm lady. She was all hands on deck as soon as I we needed anything even when it was out of her remit (like dinner reservations). The Hungarian treatments were beautiful and my skin was glowing after. All of the staff are hardworking and lovely. They are obviously keen to look after their guests and want to make sure they are happy and well. Although after using the facilities at the Mandarin Oriental I do think the spa could do with an update. …
Wonderful hotel and great staff. Nothing to fault and would definitely recommend the hotel. The restaurant and bar are superb, and so is the spa area / gym. The location is great also right on the Danube.
From the moment we entered the lobby, our stay was over the top. Beautiful hotel with great rooms and location. The staff was amazing and the concierge was extremely helpful in getting a prescription filled for me. I cannot wait to return to this beautiful city and this wonderful hotel. I just read an article by Conde Nast stating that this hotel is in the top 20 worldwide for beautiful lobbies! I concur.
A very VERY fine hotel , possibly one of THE best . Incredible staff providing exemplary service . Premium location on the banks of the Danube and surrounded by the Christmas markets . Beautiful building has undergone a superb renovation ; My short stay was not without its complications that were not the fault of the hotel . This included a trip to hospital , surely every traveller's nightmare . But the staff fixed everything for me . So very grateful to each and everyone who provided assistance . Truely 6 star . Cannot wait to get back there ASAP
