Ten months ago I stayed at this hotel and thought it was one of the best hotels I had ever stayed in. The staff was fantastic and I had only kind words to say about this place. At the time it was rated the 4th best hotel in Europe. What a difference a few months make. When I checked in... More

We were really looking forward to our tea at the Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace. I really love Art Nouveau architecture and the building is listed as one of the most interesting so I was expecting a feast of the senses! First let down: the reception area is not in the proper building itself but in the Passage or Průchod... More

The Gresham Palace is one of the very best, most beautiful and finely appointed hotels in Europe. And the hotel staff and their service was second to none. They made every experience truly pleasant and every detail was top notch. The location is superb and the ambience elegant and regal yet relaxing.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and had a great time. We had a wonderful view of the Chain Bridge, and were walking distance from everything we wanted to see. The concierge was very helpful with reservations at some great restaurants and with tips of what to do. We enjoyed the wonderful ambiance, and would recommend the... More

This is a grand hotel located in a very central location. I had booked a Superior King room and was offered a the next level of room on check-in for 70 Euros but decided not to take it - perhaps I should have. Despite the grandeur of the lobby and reception area with high ceilings and vast mosaic tiled floors... More

This hotel is breathtaking. The architecture on the hotel is incredible. Sits across from the Danube and can easily walk across to the other side. The gym is also great along with the pool and hot tub. This is one of my favorite cities in the world. The food and drinks were delicious also. The beds are incredibly comfortable and... More

Its would be hard to find any fault with the Gresham Palace. The location is right on the Danube with views that belong on a postcard. The charm of the hotel and its staff make this the perfect place to stay while in Budapest.

This is one of the most fabulous hotels I've visited in a long time. Superbly located overlooking the Danube and the Buda Castle. Lovely staff, superb concierge & excellent rooms. Traveled during Christmas and the hotel had its own little Christmas Market which was absolutely brilliant. Spectacular lobby - a true Palace Hotel.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
