The Four Seasons Gresham Palace Hotel enjoys the best location in Budapest, with the famous Chain Bridge and the Danube river right outside the front door and St. Stephens basilica behind the hotel. And it's within easy walking distance to virtually all major attractions in Budapest. Even so, the hotel itself is magical - it's truly like staying in a castle, and the staff is amazing. Everything was perfect. If you're going to the expense of traveling to Budapest, you HAVE to stay here! BTW, the beds are so freaking comfortable that you will not want to get up!
Hi - I just wanted to leave a feedback after my excellent stay at Budapest Four Season between 26th and 29th April. It’s a great hotel with great staff. Both my check in and check out experiences including taxi order service in the morning were great. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of these staff members. Having said this the best experience was dining twice in your restaurant. The welcome of the staff members when entering to the restaurant and being seated was great. I like to thank especially Andrea Halász for this. The food and local wine was great and the server Barna. I definitely look forward to staying with you during my next visit to Budapest. Kind regards. Mustafa.
The hotel is in a renovated historic building. The original finishes are preserved, and it's absolutely beautiful. It's in a location central to both Buda and Pest, and most sites are easily walkable, or there is a bus stop across the square. My room, 324, overlooked the center courtyard. I did not have a view, but it was a very quiet room. All amenities are top notch. The staff is very helpful. You can get breakfast with your room, and it's worth it. Be sure to use the pool and jacuzzi upstairs. The massages are excellent, despite the price (it's what is charged in the US).
We visited the Gresham through a review from The Times newspaper. We were visiting to celebrate a birthday and to take in the sights of Budapest. The afternoon tea was exceptional. During our visit a resident musician played a harp-what a treat! The service was fantastic. The food was also amazing with pastries galore! Thank you for a lovely afternoon and birthday treat.
One of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. Perfection! Wonderful room, beautiful building, fantastic staff and service. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Can't wait to go there again. Loved it.
This is a beautiful, historic hotel. The rooms are spacious and lovely and have a wonderful view of the Danube. It is easy to get around the city from the hotel. They have a very nice restaurant that is a busy bar at night.
The best Hotel in Budapest. Everything was above expectation. Everyone from the staff were friendly and professional. Genuine care. I never slept so well in any other hotel around the world. The best mattress and pillows ever. Bravo
It’s one of the nicest hotel in Budapest the hotel went through some renovation mainly the reception desk and new lobby bar which is very impressive. The bar manager is very friendly and made sure that i have a very good time there. I have ordered on Saturday afternoon tea and club sandwich. I have to draw the attention of the kitchen that i never had such a none attractive sandwich in my entire experience. The toasted bread which it wasn’t broke apart the chicken piece was approx 7 cm thick and all the ingredients fall apart all in all i have returned since it was uneatable. The reason i draw your attention to it since i like your hotel very much and i find important that you will take notice of it. The bar manager made sure to credit me and offered me instead the new appetizer which the bar is serving .it was very good.i really would like to congratulate the manager for his initiative. Other services are very good friendly .the staff is making sure to address you with your name in the restaurant reception spa . The Danube view room are excellent All in all very much recommend this hotel to potential visitors.…
My sister and I completed our Viking River Cruise on the Danube and our Post extension was an extra 2 days at the Four Seasons in Budapest. We were hoping for an early checkin after disembarking the ship late morning. Upon arrival the young lady indicated our King room was ready. A little surprised that a king room was reserved for 2 sisters. I asked if a twin room was available. She checked and said yes. Before she made the change I asked if we were giving up a view with the king. She immediately handed me the room rate card showing “view” rates. Pretty insulting we thought and made the change to the twin without further discussion. So to our surprise, Room 534 was actually a view room, a side view but nonetheless a view with a balcony. The other benefit to 534, a 1 minute walk to the absolutely fabulous Spa. Nicolette gave us a wonderful tour of the Spa and we used the facility each night after touring all day. Breakfast was included with our stay. In all my travels I have never experienced a breakfast buffet or should I say feast. It was Amazing. We had a problem with our room refresh the next day. With sisters staying in the room we used up most of the bath products provided. Surprisingly, these were not replaced. A towel was left on the desk chair. Also no instructions on how to use the coffee maker and no menu for mini bar pricing. And to top it off we were charged for items from the mini bar we did not use. Of course this was corrected but nonetheless disappointing. I must give a shout out to Fouad Shafik. He was so incredibly helpful printing off our Covid test paperwork. And we had a good laugh about one of my pictures. He was so helpful, so genuine. This hotel is historic and beautiful. If you ever have an opportunity to stay here please do. You’ll never forget the experience and all the sites are within walking distance. I hope to be back soon! 🙏🏻❤️…
We had a marvelous stay at this beautiful hotel. The staff were very helpful and professional. The concierge was fantastic with dinner reservations, bath recommendation and organizing a privet sunset cruise. The room is nice, we felt it needs some renovation, didn’t have the best smell. I did expect better high end bath products, they were very simple. Breakfast was disappointing , milk in the coffee was bad and the food was very basic and ordinary. Afternoon tea was fantastic, overall had a great stay. The spa treatments were the best! Spa was beautiful and elegant, very clean
