Budapest is a nice city to do a citytrip. You can do a lot by walking and the public tranport is also recommending. From the airport you can take a transfer-ticket. Start with bus 200E (just oudside the airport) and later the metro to the city-center. This is the beginning of your adventure in Budapest en it is nice for...

Across the street from History Museum. Lots of restaurant choices. A good one was Janis' Bistro just a block away with good beer and food. Good breakfast; helpful staff. Centrally located with many choices for restaurants and bistros.

Location: Great location, right in the middle of the action. Lots and lots of restaurants, and places to see nearby. Plenty to do, which also means plenty of people Room & hotel space: Our room looked out to the main street, which was always noisy. Partiers who stayed out until 4-5 AM would be drunk and obnoxious seemingly outside our...

Great location right in the center of Vaci Utca. renovated rooms but small. Decent breakfast but could be better. Lousy bar. The rest of the hotel needs renovation badly. A bit noisy during the weekend.

On arrival at check-in my Partner and I was given a voucher for a free...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
