Highly disappointing. Should nobe have more than 3 stars. Terrible rooms, filthy walls and carpet, ancient bathrooms, not clean at all. Small beds and tiny covers, breakfast very very basic and all warmed up, canned, not fresh. Nothing to what we were told to expect. Very very bad. Everyone rude and not caring to help in any way. Nothing near...

Just come back from a week staying in Budapest at the Mercure Korona and we weren't disappointed! The Hotel staff spoke really good English and were very helpful with check in and available services. The hotel is located in a really good location, if you turn right on the Main Street you're only a few minutes from Pest's main strip,...

I recently stayed at the Mercure Korona for 5 nights, and it is the perfect location for exploring the city. The hotel is located on a corner with 2 metro lines converging underneath. It's also very easy to walk most places from the hotel and it's across the street from the city's premier art museum. The room was ok; about...

This hotel is well located, in the center (south) of the city, in the corner with Kalvin Ter and close to the City Market and Liberty Bridge. Personnel is kind, the room was small but sufficient for a sort stay. Restaurant was the best, good stuff and well served. This is one of those functional hotels.

The room we were given for five nights was small ; having in mind it is a four star hotel. Room was clean. The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly and very professional. The location of the hotel is ideal for visitors. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Great location, big breakfeastbuffe! Really bad beds and bad cleaning of the rooms. Not possible to open windows, so bad air despite Ac. Really friendly staff in reception. Overpriced bar with not so good bartender.

The room assigned me was smallish, with water damage evident at the partition wall between bathroom and sleeping area. But everything one might have wanted was there -- good Internet, lots of hot water in the shower... The breakfast buffet may not be worth your while, especially with the many little pastry shops in the area (just duck into the...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
