Wow - talk about magical views. My room overlooked the Royal Palace and the Buda Castle. Amazingly lit up at night. The entire staff was friendly and helpful including the concierge, the breakfast waitresses and the bell men. Every recommendation I received was completely worth every penny. I had an amazing time in Budapest and highly recommend this hotel!

We had a wonderful three night stay at the Intercontinental in Budapest. It is located in a beautiful location right on the Danube river and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We had a beautiful view of the river. We were even able to walk across the Chain Bridge over to the Buda Castle area. The staff was very... More

We walked or took the subway form this great location. We had a room overlooking the Danube and the Buda side. In the evening we just sat and enjoyed the view all lite up for the evening. The experience from start to finish was excellent. The check in was fast and friendly. Our room overlooked the Danube offering excellent views. When asking for information the front desk was more than helpful, in that they explained their recommendations and why they made them. Despite a big brand hotel, the staff were patient and personable.

The hotel is very well located near the Chain bridge on the Danube. Opposite side is the Buda palace. Most tourist attractions on the Pest side can be accessed by foot. The best way to see this side of this lovely city. Good buffet breakfast. Friendly and smiling staff and good service.

If you want to spend up and prefer a big name-brand hotel, then this is a good place to stay. The building isn't so nice to look at, but from the inside it was fantastic. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
