Stayed here for a week while at a conference. Booked a best rate room and got one with no view. Even so it was comfortable enough. It's close to everything so I'd stay there again. Last time I stayed at Sofitel and that was just as good. Didn't eat at the hotel. Staff were helpful.

The hotel is terrific with an incredible view of the Castle nd Chain Bridge. The staff is friendly, extremely helpful and so knowledgeable. The concierge staff was particularly helpful in arranging meal reservations and tickets to sites. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city, with gorgeous views to the bridge and Pest side of the town. It is very close or within walking distance to major sightseeing objectives and nearby are tram station for a local experience to visit the city or the hop-on/hop-off buses. We had a room with Club Lounge access, a wonderful...

Since my husband is a platinum member, we were given an upgrade to a room with a river view. Simply astounding is all I can say! The room is a bit larger than a typical hotel room. Room was clean and bed and pillows comfortable. We could see the palace across the Danube at night and it was so beautiful!...

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel as part of a river cruise package, and we were so pleased with everything about our stay. The location right on the Duna/Danube river on the Pest side is absolutely amazing. The view across the river of the palace district was awe inspiring. It was wonderful to step right outside & walk along...

We didn't stay at this hotel, but decided to have an evening meal here. The service was attentive, friendly & of a standard you would expect from a hotel like this. The food and wine were delicious. We were a party of four and were all happy with our choices. The restaurant although situated on the riverfront was extremely quiet,...

The hotel is in the heart of the city. Very close to the chain bridge and historical centers. Hop on hop off stop is just in front of the hotel. There is a mild smell in the rooms and the floors but the hotel is clean enough. The breakfast is quite rich and the service is good. I stayed three...

We paid a little extra to have a river view and boy, was it worth it. It;s a lovely international hôtel, the staff were kind and attentive and the quality of service was outstanding. The bar snacks outside could do with some improvement but overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We choose this hotel for location and booked a river view room - and was not disappointed. You can always expect cleanliness and comfort at Intercontinental but the staff were very friendly and wifi worked very well.

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
