We thought this hotel was great. Was located perfectly by the Danube and we had a great view from our room of the Chain Bridge. Even though the hotel was busy with some of the F1 teams staying here it still wasn't full which really surprised us. Have no idea why. Hotel itself is modern and very well maintained. Staff...

We booked a few days stay here as a short honeymoon break after getting married nearly 2 weeks ago. We booked through a travel agent and requested a nice hotel so that we could enjoy Budapest in luxury. We arrived late at night to a pleasant welcome. The man on reception said that as it was our honeymoon he would...

Excellent Hotel. Rooms are spacious and well decorated. Beds are very comfortable. The staff is well trained and able to assist in any problems or concerns you have. The Concierge was very helpful with directions and getting us to where we had to go. Would differently go back.

We love to use Sofitel hotels whenever we can and on this trip we stayed here. It met our expectations totally and gave us what we have become used to when using this brand the world over. For a large hotel it remains friendly and service attentive, the rooms are spotlessly clean and food in the Paris restaurant was delicoius...

I have never before in my life been writing a hotel review though I spent years of my professional life all over the world in hotels. I am staying in this house since months and am still feeling great. After such a long time one should expect to have found some points of complaints - I didn't - that makes...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
