Great location overlooking the Danube. Nice hotel, professional service and comfortable beds. Hermes toiletries were a nice touch and good choice of TV channels in Room. Quite expensive though and design of building and decor a bit dated. Recommended.

Sofitel Chain Bridge lives up to its reviews. I highly recommend!! The location was Excellent- close to everything you need. The staff was helpful and very personable. The rooms were very comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast had a wide variety and delicious. We had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding Anniversary. Our room was on the 6th floor with fabulous views across the Danube and Chain Bridge. The hotel is in a very central location and within walking distance to all places of interest. The rooms are large and very clean. There is a nice reception...

We have just returned after 5 very comfortable nights at the Sofitel Chain Bridge hotel. The view across the Danube was stunning but what made this hotel special (and one we would like to return to) was the high quality of the lobby staff and the many we met each day at the superb breakfast buffet. We highly recommend this...

Fantastic hotel, room was clean and furnished to a high standard. Bathroom was very spacious, had music and a phone! The breakfast was of a fairly decent standard, the only thing that let it down was the lack of cutlery and cereal bowls. The Gym and Spa are also excellent, the Spa sadly only has a pool and two saunas,...

I recently stayed in the Sofitel, Budapest for twelve nights. I selected a room overlooking The Danube and paid considerably extra for the privilege and if I were to rest my head at this hotel again then I would repeat the choice of view. On booking the room over the internet the hotel charged a small amount from my card...

My daughter and I spent 8 days over the New Year's holiday at the Sofitel Chain Bridge- and we were delighted with our choice of lodging. This luxury hotel satisfied on every count- the rooms were spacious and clean, loved the classical music in the room. The housekeeping staff was unobtrusive and efficient and cleaned our room even when we...

Fantastic hotel with great views in an ideal location. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The concierge team was extremely helpful in booking my airport transfer. The car, a Tesla, was awesome and the driver was an absolute professional- it was the cherry on top of a great trip!

We stayed at the Sofitel for one night to celebrate a birthday. The location is on the Pest-side adjoining the river, next to the Intercontinental hotel, and 100m from a tram stop where tram no. 2 is running towards the north and a hop away from the chain bridge. The Deak Ferenc Ter metro station is about 10 mins walk...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
