Great city. Great people! This hotel added to our stay and made it all that much more special. Situated right next to the river also helps. Every major attraction was "walking distance". Style: modernity.

This hotel is situated on the Pest side of Budapest right next to the Chain Bridge on the Danube. It is close to shopping, restaurants, transportation, spas, and entertainment. The rooms are clean, attractive, and comfortable and the amenities are very nice. The breakfast offered is exceptional with many, many choices on the buffet. The hotel restaurant is very nice... congrats to sofitel. We stayed with my gf for 3 nights. The place is great, near the old town (buda), near vaci street and near metro station (yellow line). Choose a room with view in duna river! if not, there is no view. The rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable. Stuff is very polite and very helpful! Check... More

We booked this hotel for our anniversary and we were very surprised and delighted to find we had received an upgrade to a room with views over the Chain Bridge, Danube and Castle. The staff were all very friendly and helpful which is quite refreshing. The room was small but big enough for our needs. Huge bed, wonderfully comfortable bed... More

My wife and I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The hotel is placed in the hearth of Budapest, just next to the iconic Chain Bridge and in one end of famous Vacsi Utca (shopping street). The room we booked has a beautiful view over the Danube river, the Castle and the Chain Bridge. Parking is underground, it costs about... More

The hotel is located on the banks of the dumbe - pest side. Lovely views of the river and very central. The rooms are spacious and the beds are really soft and comfy! Breakfast is excellent with great gluten free croissants!!! We can really recommend this hotel.

Perfectly located for a spectacular view of the Danube, the palace and the chain bridge. Get a river view room if you can. The breakfast selection was extensive. There is something for everyone from fruits and vegetables, vast array of meats, cheeses, cereals, eggs, omelets, breads, pastries, waffles, pancakes, crepes...you get the idea. The rooms are clean and spacious. The... More

The service is really bad. On 2 separate days, we tried calling housekeeping, room service and the front desk before anyone responds. When I complained during check-out, they just said 'sorry'. Aside from the service, the mattresses are too soft.

I got a great rate, which included late check out and a room upgrade. My room did not have castle views: if you an afford the extra expense, go for it as they are stunning. The location is perfect, the very best in Budapest. Rooms are not too large, but nicely appointed. My rate included a free drink at te... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel in early August. Checkin was fantastic and swift and the lovely Ramona upgraded us to a river view which was absolutely amazing. Fanni from guest services was fantastic and cleared up some initial issues quickly and professionally. Thank you both for the fantastic welcome and service, you are a credit... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
