We love to use Sofitel hotels whenever we can and on this trip we stayed here. It met our expectations totally and gave us what we have become used to when using this brand the world over. For a large hotel it remains friendly and service attentive, the rooms are spotlessly clean and food in the Paris restaurant was delicoius...

I have never before in my life been writing a hotel review though I spent years of my professional life all over the world in hotels. I am staying in this house since months and am still feeling great. After such a long time one should expect to have found some points of complaints - I didn't - that makes...

We had a great romantic dinner with a great hospitality offered by the restaurant's staff, especially from Szilvia who was very nice and kind. The table with window view to Danube River & other side of the river was amazing. Best dinner experience we had in Budapest. We totally recommend it! :)

Came with some friends for a visit. Got suite on second floor which was the old non renovated rooms. View is very nice and location of hotel is very central. However the hotel is getting old and a bit run down. The lounge on the 8 floor was very good with excellent and friendly staff. Value for money is acceptable....

We had a great stay here at Sofitel Budapest. The decor was really fun for adults and children. Buffet breakfast was excellent, best we've had in Europe. This hotel is in a great location for Christmas markets and for exploring Buda and Pest. Buda is just a short walk over the Charles Bridge. The one downfall was the parking situation...

I have been visiting the hotel on many occasions and it has become one of my favorites. Staff still asks if I have been there before so loyalty could be recognized a bit more however the last few times I was upgraded without me asking for it. The rooms have a classic look and feel but I like it .The...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
