Spent 3 nights with the family in this hotel Modern and very well located . Right opposite the Chain Bridge with great views. We opted for a Junior Suite which was spacious and comes with the extensive service ( highly recommended) Service was great and the breakfast is a good spread. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Budapest. The rooms... More

Could not have had a more impressive view of the river, the bridge and the castle. Hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful and pleasant, going out of their way to track down luggage that British Airways lost. Loved the breakfast brunch. At Christmas time, the hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the main square that hosts the famous Xmas Village. Most... More

Had a superb visit to the Sofitel Chain Bridge last week. Every aspect of the stay was simply great. The service from each and every staff member was professional, yet warm and personal. Used the gym, pool, executive lounge, in addition to accessing the concierge for reservations/transportation etc. All services exceptional. The king bed was so comfortable, the room spotless.... Traveled through Europe for the past 2 months, and had our last 8 days at the Sofitel Chain Bridge, the best accomodation throughout our trip by far. The location, the staff are courteous, professional, helpful, engaging, they are the best. Breakfast buffet, the Spa, the ladies working in the club, Christian in the bar and the staff working there can't... More

We (couple) spend a week at this beautiful hotel on April. Our room windows looked over the Chain Bridge. It was lovely. The breakfast was rich and tasty. Budapest is a beautiful city. We liked very much the thermal waters at Sachi and Gelart hotel. We will be happy to stay again in our next visit in Budapest in Sofitel.

Large Hotel, Open Court with Glass Lifts The staff are really good and on the ball all the time. I stayed two nights, but Budapest deserves longer and so does the hotel.. The Lobby was large and the atrium impressive. Excellent shopping is nearby, but located in a pedestrian street behind the hotel - so ask at the concierge desk. They were excellent and always helpful. Our room had a partial 40 degree view of the Danube, Chain Bridge and Pest. The bedroom was large with a comfortable queen bed, large TV, settee,... More

We stayed here for a week having previously stayed 3 years ago for a few nights. We decided to go to the Grand Prix and didn't really consider anywhere else as we liked it so much here the first time. We booked a luxury club room with club facilities and were initially given room 810 which we were disappointed with... More

What a beautiful hotel with breath-taking views of the Danube, the Chain Bridge and the Palace. Let's start with the fact that the hotel was spotless (always a MUST with us). The rooms were spacious; the beds were comfortable. Their breakfast buffet made the start of each day a treat. The staff was very accommodating (fortunately, they all spoke excellent... More

We stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon. On arrival we were given a warm welcome and our bags were taken up to our room for us. The room was a superior double and was clean with a restricted view of the chain bridge. The good The bed is probably one of the best I have ever slept... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
