It was a great stay in the Mercure Budapest Buda Hotel with perfect service, clean room, and comfortable bed. A check-in is possible 24-hour that helps to travel as You want. And nearby view from the Castle is really nice.

The only strength is its location. The room is small, bad odor, allergic and no accomodation. The worst is breakfast. - few kinds of food and not enough for every one - bad service - treat customers differently - reserve tables and offer special for only big groups. - Asian corner means miso soup and rice, this is so ridiculous.

I had a wonderful view of Mattheus Church from my very spacious bedroom. All the hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. We couldn't have chosen somewhere as central and at a really good value price which included breakfast. The hotel is in the Buda area and 3 minutes from the Metro and 2 minutes from the Tram. It's a short...

Staying in District I / Buda

Neighborhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
