District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.

We had a really nice stay at art'otel budapest! The room was clear, the staff was really kind and it's close to the city center and to the main attractions. There are some restaurants and bars nearby so you don't need to go to the city center to eat well. I would highly

can I get to my room by walking stairs? I would not like glass elevator.
Pretty certain you can. Tell hotel about this when you book, so you don't end up on the top floor (unless you really like stairs)

It depends on what you wish to see, the hotel is right opposite the beautiful parliament building and in the centre of all the action however a lot of the points of interest are spread out around the city and some of which could be difficult to access with limited mobility. But yes, the hotel is very central and in an ideal location. The hotel is fantastic at organising transport for you though and will happily book you taxis for days out to places further away. Hope this helps.

We had a double room without river view, which was superb, the mattress was very comfortable and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay there again!
