nice location, close to Budapest, but in the hills so you can take nice walks in the surroundings. A car is usefull to take a trip to Budapest. Very small swimming pool. When we stayed there the outdoor swimming pool was closed. Nice hotel is you have a dog with you. Special arrangements for the dogs.
Very nice location and cottages. Cottage has personal sauna. Inside an outside pool. Very quite place for family location. 20 min from Budapest center. Need car to reach the location. Not sufficient cleanliness.
Staff cleaned out previously prepared baby crib and camera even I got a promise from front desk that they won't (we were in a wedding so I thought I'm gonna prepare in advance). Fridge smelled like trash, we were not able to use it. Next day, front desk was unable to negotiate because "people with authorization to negotiate doesn't work on Sundays". I wrote an email which took them more than a week to answer. Very, very cheap which is a shame given the beauty of the surrounding area.
Where do I start? We only chose this resort/week to use up a week we were about to lose. The resort is in the middle of nowhere which is fine if that's your bag. It is old beyond It's years. The outdoor pool was closed on the day of arrival with no explanation. The restaurant is poor with such a limited menu. To cap it all, and this is the unbelievable bit, the bar closed at 8pm. Yes, 8pm. There was simply nothing to do. Upon returning to our room we then discovered the TV had no British TV. Not a one. We checked out the next morning, after a really poor breakfast, and stayed the rest of the week in a superb Air B&B apartment in Pest. From there on in we had a great holiday. To sum up, Petnahazy Club has no place in RCI and should be removed from the portfolio immediately. Do not travel to this place.…
The accomodations were comfortable, the staff accomodating and helpful, and the traditional Hungarian food in the restaurant was tasty and affordable. The resort is conveniently located to tour the city while also proximate to the countryside surrounding Budapest. Public transport is easily accessible and a variety of restaurants and food stores are available within a short car ride.
superb ...lovely and quiet at this time of year with great English spoken by staff and good breakfasts and amenieties . Easy to get a taxi into Budapest via reception or using the |BOLT taxi app..thanks to resort for great break
The staff at Petnehazy is wonderful. They are most welcoming, kind, and generous. The rooms have lovely views. The location is beautiful and perfect for evening walks. The pools and sauna area are quite nice and relaxing. I've stayed twice now and I look forward to my next stay at Petnehazy.
What a beautiful city! We were privileged to stay at the Petnehazy Club Hotel, located in an isolated and forested area. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a week's stay. The grounds were well maintained and beautiful with good places to walk, the people who were at the reception desk spoke enough English that we were able to ask the questions that we had. Even though it's a bit out of the range of the great transit system in Budapest the hotel has a morning and evening run to the transit center. When we missed the hotel run we were able to take a taxi. I hope that I have the opportunity to stay here again . The restaurant was convenient and the food was great.
Must take the river excursions it was excellent as was the bus trip around Budapest the resort was very well maintained the grounds were great to have a stroll around also the restaurant had an excellent choice on the menu
The resort is nice and peaceful. However, it's rather far from the city. So guests/visitors must have transport to move around , especially if you want to visit the city and its attractions daily. There's not many things to do at the resort other the spa, tennis and walkabout. So having your own transport is a must. Moreover, you can also visit neighboring countries like Austria and Slovakia which is about 2 - 21/2 hours away.
