Beautiful hotel. Lots of character, intricate design with modern bedrooms that’s had all the amenities you would want. Staff were brilliant, particularly the guys at breakfast (which in itself was faultless) and Tommy behind the bar who couldn’t do enough. His recommendations are worth listening to. Overall a fantastic place to stay.
The hotel was pretty amazing - the interior is just grand! The suite on the 2nd floor was spacious, nicely appointed with superbly comfortale bed. The only downside was that the suite overlooked the courtyard and made the room rather gloomy, even during sunny days. The staff and overall service was great. Lovely personnel always smiling, helpful and caring for the quality of one's stay. Very good breakfast too.
As ALL member we try to stay as many nights possible at any Accor hotels. Hence we chose to book a few nights stay at this hotel. Location is not at city Centre, but city Centre isn’t that far away. By foot it is about 30 minutes away. In front of the hotel, there are bus, tram and metro stops for further connection to another parts of the city. Very convenient. The hotel itself is in a historical building, very nice building with beautiful details. But a little bit disappointed with the size of the room, it is quite small with dark wallpaper. Room is facing the busy street, as a result of that, although our room is quite at the upper level , the noisy traffics below and the (frequently heard) ambulance sirens are very audible. Room is clean and tidy with modern (small) bathroom. Breakfast is ok, not too good but not bad too. Nothing spectacular. The breakfast are is not that cozy too. On top of that, the breakfast staffs were not particularly friendly. Only the lady who welcomed the guests at the breakfast was friendly, but the rest of the staffs were kind of working like robots, no smile, no greetings. Probably it has to do with language barrier? Not so sure about it.…
Budapest surprises you at every turn, with a mix of 19th Century and typical modern international city architecture. The Hotel Nemzeti is a beautiful example of a grand building brought back to its former glory by Accor. Easy to arrive at from the station and central to public transport its the perfect base for making the most of your time in Budapest. The rooms are large and well appointed, with a massive internal staircase straight out of any costume drama from "War and Peace" movies. We took the staircase every day instead of the lift just to experience the history. The staff are the Accor’s greatest asset and the staff at the Hotel Nemzeti are true ambassadors for the brand. Highly welcoming and professional. Recommend highly
Came into the hotel bar for a drink. Beautiful bar with a good selection of drinks. The barman was lacking in personality and not very welcoming. But he didn't take from the lovely surroundings. The hotel is centrally located, near the Jewish quarter.
We wanted to enjoy our christmas eve dinner and stay in Budapest. The positive vibes about this hotel started when all the queries and connects were responded in such a timely manner. Since we were arriving at Keleti on 24th, we had some concerns on public transport. We were surprise to find this hotel merely 12 minutes walk from the Station. And when you enter, it was a different world. It makes you re-live the traditional past and artistically decorated reception and stairs and walls. Loved it! Bang on Blaha Lujza metro stop, and tram stops the whole of Buda and Pest were so easily accessible. In addition, there were bank ATMs nearby (not the ones which will bluff you) and multiple food options. The Christmas dinner with live piano was something we'll cherish for a long time! Thanks team for this wonderful experience. All the items served were good (though sometimes there were some unwanted delays, but piano kept you busy ;) ), and served! The Breakfast spread was awesome.. special mention would be sauted veggies, Hungarian salamis/sausages. There were always attentive eyes to ensure all the items are ready. The look from the room overlooking the square below was spectacular. When it was clear sky and dark, you would love to look far away and be lost towards the Buda side... Best wishes to the Nemzeti/Mgallery team for making our stay so memorable. We'll love to be there again!…
During our stay, we enjoyed the suite (on 2nd floor), the two communicative rooms (on 5th floor), the sauna, the breakfast buffet (very complete) as well as the bar-restaurant in the evening (our kids could even practice on the piano). All the staff was always available and helpful before our arrival (special thanks to Robert Tanczos) as well as during our stay (organisation for taxi, they also made a conference room available for us to wait until our rooms become available). The hotel and staff made our stay in Budapest very pleasant. It is very central within walking distance to the Jewish quarter, National Opera or the famous Széchenyi thermal bath. We would certainly come back to this hotel during our next visit in Budapest.…
We used our first Suite Night Upgrade (SNU) in Hotel Nemzeti as Platinum Accor Live Limitless members, and it was a lovely experience. The location is situated in the heart of Budapest, making it a good location for tourists like ourselves. Transportation is so convenient, with the train/metro being directly in front of the hotel. For those who love Chinese cuisine, just 2 minutes away is the Chinatown Restaurant which serves incredible food. We were given the 'Jaszai Mari' suite, and because it was empty, we received an early check in. The only reason we have to give a 4 star review is because of a sewerage stench that pervaded the entrance of the room, which was present throughout our stay. Somehow, that stench was there, and we couldn't find the source of it. Other than that, the front desk service was excellent, with a lovely breakfast. We were there on a weekend, and there was live music from a pianist, which was so lovely! I would recommend coming back. Perhaps a different room wouldn't have the stench of sewerage. …
Beautiful hotel with excellent location. Very attentive polite staff. They made our Christmas Day's special. We highly recommend this hotel. Budapest, beautiful city on the Danube. Lots of history, café. City which must be visited.
Very good hotel. Nice decoration and classic style. We like it very much. I recommend absolutely. Will come back next time if I pass by Budapest. Beautiful hotel uniform as well. Everything is perfect. Better than many hotel I've lived before
