We stayed here over the Grand Prix weekend and unfortunately our flight was quite badly delayed, so we didn’t end up checking in at the hotel until 4am. Even as we pulled up outside the hotel, I was surprised by the appearance. I hadn’t thought this was going to be a bad hotel, purely a functional one, but once inside confirmed that I was certainly wrong. The reception, bar area and staircase were all finely finished and made an impression on me. Despite our late (early!) arrival, we were still given a warm welcome and our late arrival was not a problem. We had a basic twin room and I was very impressed by the details in the room and the comfort of the beds. The room itself was not very large (for example, the door opened right next to one of the beds), but generally there was plenty of space for two us to move around without falling over each other and the bathroom was also not very large, but the shower had excellent pressure and was just what we needed before bed every night. There were also nice small touches in the bathroom, such as the cotton buds. Our room was also at the end of a corridor and faced inwards, which meant we never had a problem with any noise - inside or out! The bar area was a good place to relax, although the drinks selection isn’t huge and I was surprised it closed as early as it did. However, when you have Budapest on your doorstep why would you stay in the hotel?! We didn’t ever have breakfast at the hotel as once we were up we wanted to get moving, plus at c. €15 per person you would want to be sure you were there to enjoy it. One of my main reasons for choosing the hotel was its location on the M2 line and the hotel could not be any closer. It is on top of the station, so from front door to platform takes about two minutes. Very handy indeed. You could argue that many other hotels in Budapest are better located and with finer views. This is hard to dispute, as the city has hundreds of hotels and some do indeed have very fine views. That said, assuming you’re happy to leave your room and seek out the views on foot, being located next to the Metro and trams makes moving around the city very easy indeed. We had a very good stay here and all the staff we met were very professional and polite. We would happily return in the future.…
2 points for ok breakfast and late check out One thing I really don't like if someone lie to my face. Upon check in we asked for upgrade. Usual answer they are no high rooms category available. So we checked on the app and surprise surprise that was a lie. Room was really small and AC was functioning properly. Small room even smaller bathroom. "Free" welcome drink is not really free. We asked for an Aperol spritz. They said they cannot do it so They took voucher and in good favour charged us just 2 shots of Aperol and with goodwill prosecco was free. Like are you serious? I got better treatment in Ibis just across the street
We arrived at the hotel with no luggage due to Austrian Airlines. Despite the hotels on going efforts they were unable to locate it so for three days we only had hand luggage. The staff were amazing especially Franciska who spent hours on the phone. She was able to organise a doctor's visit as we needed our usual medication. We had a beautiful room and the staff in all departments did all they could to help.
We had a wonderful stay here 😁. It turned out that our flight got cancelled ✈, so I called the hotel to see of they had room for us to stay for an additional 3 nights. Fortunately, they were able to accommodate us and we arrived back just after midnight. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with virtually everything you could wish for 😋. We also ate there for 3 evenings. The stroganof soup is amazing, in fact far superior to that which we had in the New York Cafe! Thank you to everyone at the hotel 😁
+: location is really good; rooms are nice and have almost everything needed; breakfast is okay; staff is nice and helpful; building is very beautiful and we'll kept -: beds and pillows are absolutely awful, I don't know how can the management think it's okay to have things like that in a hotel; rooms are nice BUT small, really small; breakfast can really be improved in terms of choices available; the area is convenient but there's nothing around at night time Overall I gave 4/5 thanks to its good price, if the price would have been higher, the grade would have probably been 3/5
I didn’t mind that this hotel was a bit of a walk but I was disappointed by the very small stuffy, dark room I was given. I couldn’t open the window or leave the drapes open and the AC was so noisy I had to wear ear plugs. The staff was nice and it was very clean and the had good appointments but I would not stay again.
Very friendly and professional staff perfectly matching the beautiful building. Great welcome at the beginning, very helpfull for late night arrival and delicious breakfast!!! Really good location. One of the best hotels for a few night stays - highly recomend
I had a super stay in the hotel. Beautiful building in a great location, close to public transportation. Nice and clean rooms, excellent breakfast, delicious dishes, friendly staff. I will be back soon.
Very friendly staff at the Reception and the Restaurant. The breakfast was so delicious. Our room was very spacious and clean. I loved the building style and the location as well. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
Room 502 doent it what you want at this hotel. Spent here 5th stay, maybe in the worst 502 room at the hotel. As Platinum member of Accor have benefit free room upgrade up to suite, in time of booking (3hours before check in hotel has upper type of rooms and also suites free - its next of point why membership is not nothing special also for Platinum members). Room 502 is under roof so room in warm weather is quicly overheat, 1st level of aircondition is not enought so hold temperature, 2nd level is too noisy so be prepare to count with it. View from the room to none, inside other window of room - I dont know why receptions use the story its very nice room also. Maitanance of the doesnt work propelly or low battery, Platinum member have a benefit free non alcoholic drinks from minibar free- at this type of room please do t count a lot of drinks 2 x mineral water 330ml and 2x coke 330ml a 1 juice 330ml, no more. Benefit up to 5 eur. During previous stay I had a one level room up and I think there were more drink as now. One light on the right side doesnt work - sorry guys at hotel but its not my work as guest ti check all quality of maitanance in the rooms. And the top is check out - during check in I did reservation 16000 huf , these money after unblock will be returned to my account in 3 work days. According info during checkout I have to pay again after unblock the reservation bacause some type of technical issue, so I had to pay 1% fee to Revelot because check out in Sunday for change Eur to HUF so for me additional cost 160 HUF for bank. Sumerising - no benefits for Platinum, check in process I espective a lot more from style 4* hotels where that standards you hold 1st year from opening?, Room standards mentioned upper and point last check out. BTW where is priority check in where is entry guy in suite in front of hotel? I am so sorry guys but Mgallery from UK or Netherland it maybe different world. Also sorry this mine 2nd the most critical review for the last 2 years. And again sorry we will not see together longer time. …
