Booked this hotel at the last minute for my 3rd visit to the dentist in Hungary. Was nt impressed at all with the exterior and the area. Very delapidated with graffiti all over the street. It was nt too bad inside, the rooms were small but clean, the maids came daily. The breakfast was set out well although the hot... More

This Hotel is in an excellent Location with the Danube, chain bridge, citadel, Buda castle and Parliament building all within reasonable walking distance as is the Metro. The hotel itself is in need of some re-decorating and a little repair work, The room I stayed in was on the small side but as this hotel was just a base for... More

The King's Hotel in Budapest is superbly located in the Jewish quarter, just a 5 minute walk from the Synagogue where you can board the Hop on Hop Off Bus tours and is surrounded by decent bars and restaurants, all within a 1-15 minute walking radius. The Danube is approximately a 15 minute walk, the Gellert Bath approx 20-25 minute... More

The hotel is indeed in a central location, but I don't believe the location or the conditions in the room justify the price. Rooms are a bit claustrophobic, breakfast so so; staff is either friendly or kind of aloof, depending who is on duty.

Very well located for exploring the city. If you want luxury then you've got the wrong place. Basic but clean. If you're Irish, bring your own teabags! The breakfast isn't great but food and drink is great value in this fantastic city.

The hotel is very simple and a bit old! However is in a great location (10 min by walk to the river), the rooms are clean and have everything u need ( hairdryer, towels, shampoo and A/C,..). Only "annoying" thing is that I found the check in/ out process a bit slow!

We stayed at this hotel one week. It is a good hotel, in an excellent location. We had a nice room, very clean. They give a good breakfast buffet. A friendly and helping staff was always ready. It is close to public transportation and to many bars and restaurants. At reasonable prices, it is really a good place to be.

We read some reviews about this hotel before coming here, so we knew what we were getting ourselves in to. The reception area is a sorry thing to see, so you kinda know what the rest of the hotel is gonna be like. The elevator was something out of a horror movie, too small for two persons + luggage and... Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
