Have just returned from a three night stay at the Kempinski. Hotel is in a great location and is very well furnished with helpful staff. Bedroom was large and provided everything that you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Was very hot in the room despite the air conditioning being on. We dined in the Nobu restaurant which was...

We spent 2 nights at the Kempinski, which was very good value for a high end property … modern lobby, quite chic, good concierge service …. we needed train tickets arranged, and for a small fee the concierge bought the tickets for us and sent a runner to pick them up and bring them right to us at the hotel....

I stayed here for 3 mights on a business trip. It's a typical upmarket business hotel with friendly, efficient and helpful English-speaking staff. I was on a conference package, but breakfast and drinks in the bar are expensive. Breakfast was the usual mixture of buffet and hot food in this type of hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, but, as...

Went for a City Break with my wife on a British Airways deal. We selected the Kempinski over a few other five star hotels and were not disappointed. The hotel has a fanstatic location, great friendly staff, quiet and comfort and an awesome spa (Hungarian mud treatment highly recommended). Slight improvements can be made in room prep (we also had...

Stayed 3 nights in the hotel and liked the location. Prompt check in, though had an early arrival at 11, but got the room immediately. Fantastic breakfast with everything you will ever want. And the fun stuff began… we are 2 girls travelling, the room was booked for 2 and everything in the room (slippers, bathrobe and toiletries) was placed...

Firstly if you are thinking of a city break Budapest is a really good choice. I couldn't fault my stay at the Kempinski in any way. Really good location, helpful, friendly, efficient staff and really comfortable rooms. Even with the window open the room was more or less silent. Fabulous shower. We didn't use the hotel bar or restaurants due...

This hotel was a lovely business hotel, centrally located in Budapest-- right next to the giant ferris wheel (random.) Easy taxi ride from airport, 24 Euros, and fast check-in. Great wi-fi, included with room price, available for multiple devices and very consistent and reliable-- a welcome change from many business hotels! I was attending a conference in the hotel, and...

Stayed for 2 nights in October and from the moment we stepped into the lobby it was a swift checking in. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and were upgraded to ua lovely room facing the square on the 8th floor. Within 5 minutes of settling into our room, a bottle of champagne arrived with the compliments of the...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
