If you can walk you can use this as a base for your travels. If you get a river view room the InterContinetal may be nice and is about 600 feet more central to all the things you would typically want to see. Rooms and...More
Excellent included breakfast buffet. Very nice room. Though our room - on the 7th floor - could hear muffled street conversations well into the night. Very good desk /bellhop/ concierge service. Location is great.
Great location of hotel. Staff are very accommodating. Room is excellent. Centrally located to markets, Vacszy street (sp), chain bridge. Good restaurants on site. Concierge service is very helpful. Michael Jackson memorial tree is right across the hotel, apparently he used to stay in this...More

Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention
and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.

Yes, I agree with the OP, that the hotel does have great limo service that will be waiting for you with a sign at arrivals and you can relax an enjoy right away. Just get in touch with the concierge by emailing the hotel. They are wonderful. This is what I would do for sure. Another option is If you have local currency (huff) the taxi stand at the airport I did note that they do give the general taxi fares so you know how much the taxi should cost. So there are two options. Again, I used the private transfer and would again.
