The hotel is perfectly situated, only a few steps from the hop-on double decker buses, incredible dining spots (such as the Meat Boutique) and the unforgettable Rudas Thermal Spa. The rooms are very spacious, and clean. Everyday we were welcomed to beautifully made beds, and a restocked coffee and tea tray. We opted for the breakfast option, which is cooked in the small restaurant at the entrance. There, complete with an open kitchen, and buffet styled breakfast, Lajos cooked the most incredible eggs and prepared the best hot chocolate I have ever tasted. It's such a homey type of hospitality, it adds even more charm to an already gorgeous city. Would absolutely come back again! Especially for the type of service the ever so helpful and warm Lajos offered us.

I stayed her Monday to Friday over three consecutive weeks and I I would certainly recommend this hotel. While this is not a 5 star luxury hotel, it is a well managed, well priced, good and clean hotel with a retro vibe in an excellent location.

*The staff were all friendly, helpful with great customer service.
*The rooms were all a good size with comfortable beds. Each room had a TV and my only negative would be that the TV was a bit small but there were plenty of channels to choose from.
*The bathroom is also a bit small but had a bath with shower.
*I'm glad I included breakfast! There was a good selection of warm and cold food, Hungarian style and international. Coffee and tea are included, but as I need a cappuccino to start my day that was an additional but reasonable cost. I have seen complaints about the cost of breakfast but I thought it was reasonably priced. If you only do a continental breakfast it might be cheaper first go to a local cafe but the closest isn't that cheap and who wants to go hunting first thing in the morning?
*The location is great, quiet and close to the Danube with easy walking to the main sights in Buda and either a bus ride to or slightly longer walk across the Elizabeth Bridge to the sights in Pest.

As you may gather I really liked this hotel. I would happily recommend this hotel to anyone needing a reasonably priced hotel in a central location in Budapest.

I was in Budapest for the annual Wagner Days, and spent 8 nights at this hotel. Once I had worked out the easiest routes to get around I really appreciated the location, which is very close to tramlines. It also felt very safe, which is important for a solo female traveller. My room was large, with two single beds, very clean, and tidied up every day. Although it was on the first floor there was practically no street noise, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. Staff was invariably friendly and helpful.

Breakfast, which was included in the price, was adequate, apart from the rather chewy croissants which I tried on the first day and avoided thereafter.

I would highly recommend this small and comfortable hotel.

So the hotel is close to the castle. Very close to the means of public transport. It is clean. The bathroom is ok a bit small but convenient. I would change the carpet on the floors because even though it is cleaned it still gives out a feeling of being long ovedue and dirty.the breakfast is ok for the price you pay.You can have coffee with extra cost. The only thing i would like to see is to have the towels changed at least every second day. Overall for the price we liked it we would recommend it.

We stayed here for 2 nights in mid December for our trip to visit the city and the Christmas markets. The hotel is really well located, just round the corner from it, not even a 2 minute walk is the tram line next to the river which takes you down to the end of the Elizabeth bridge to then get another tram (or walk) over there to get to the great market hall which has a huge market, well worth a visit. Or on the other side of the hotel, is the bus stop, about a 5 minute walk, which takes you straight into the main city area. The hotel staff were nice and helpful. Room was cleaned for the full day we were there. Bed was a good size. Lovely view from our balcony of the church steeple and the lights of the castle hill. Overall was a lovely stay there. And just round the corner from the river with a lovely riverside view of everything. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely clean hotel with friendly helpful staff, excellent location near all forms of transport, and walking distance to loads of attractions. There is a minibar in the rooms and the food and drink I it are the cheapest I have ever come across. We only had one breakfast at the hotel (mainly because we are lazy and like to sleep in😁)everything was plentiful including hot eggs, bacon and sausage all for a very low price. Overall it was a very pleasant stay here and would definitely visit here again. Oh and the shower pressure was brilliant with loads of hot water.

This hotel is central to pretty much everything and is in a very easy to navigate area. It’s also on a small street a block off the river so it’s a bit quieter. They do offer baggage storage if you arrive too early and your room isn’t ready yet. The rooms are large and comfy. The downsides were that the air conditioning didn’t seem to get very cool and the fridge was pretty warm as well. Know that breakfast beverages cost extra than the breakfast charge itself (even juice)

This hotel does NOT have private parking, only on the street, and there are a lot of traffic signs such as "No admittance for vehicles", beware of that.
Staff is ok in person, but doesn't reply on email so don't bother if you have any questions.
Breakfast is very poor and on the menu.
Rooms are very old and walls are extremely thin so you can here everything.
Windows are not opening and there was not hot water already at 9 pm?!?
We didn't like our stay at the hotel, also because it is overpriced.

Location - Great location just outside the busy tourist area. Which made the hotel nice and quiet. We were still able to walk to most sights within 20-40 mins.

Hotel - Was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a good mix of breads, pastries, meats, cheese, yoghurts, hot food, coffee and juices. Eat as much as you like and cooked fresh.
The hotel is clean and our room was cleaned and turn down every day.
The bathroom was small but had everything you need.

The bed was wide and comfortable.

Would I recommend...yes definitely...a great little local hotel, quiet yet close enough...

Our check in person was not super friendly, but not rude at all. We found the elevator fit 2 people at a time with luggage comfortably. The rooms were nice and were clean, and we had no complaints. We were just off the river, and close to several smaller bistros. Breakfast in the morning was nice.
We noticed when we were waiting for taxi to our boat tour at night that they were concerned that we were waiting there. It seemed as if they thought we were loitering or making the place look bad. Not exactly sure. When we returned we noticed them shooing away a person who was either overheated/drunk , so maybe this is a problem, but didn't notice it any other time.
Location is a plus for this hotel to quite a few of the sites. It is close to catch the hop on/hop off bus also, which we used on our visit to get from one place to the next.

We are taking the Intercity train from Vienna, how much is the average cost of taxi to this hotel? Thanks.

I heard the same about taxis outside the train station and we also came in on a train from Vienna. So after much internal debate, I decided we should take the tram a few stops where we then got off and switched to another tram which dropped us just a couple blocks from the hotel. Even with 4 adults and full size luggage we had no issues. But I understand that isn't always the best option for some so if you need a cab I would definitely contact the hotel and ask them to arrange something for you, that's how we got to the airport on our departure and they were great! Both the hotel and the cab they arranged.

I went onto Viator and booked a taxi. I thought this was best after speaking to a Hungarian girl I had met. She warned me about the corrupt taxi drivers and how they charged whatever they liked. By booking with Viator I wouldn't have the problem of being ripped off.
