Ambra hotel was good beyond expectations. It was in the center of Budapest, yet it was not noisy. The hotel people were very nice and ready to accommodate us. The room was large enough for two people, with a spacious desk and it was really quiet and comfortable. Sleeping was of very good quality. Breakfast was offered with a selection...

The hotel was clean, breakfast rich and the fact that you could get tea and coffee any time was a surplus. Staff was welcoming. The only negative issue is the view from the window of the room: A WALL!!!!!!

We stayed as a couple for a few days in September. We had a problem with the shower which they had trouble fixing but they quickly provided us with another room. The rooms are small but clean with a modern touch. Our second room had a balcony giving into an internal courtyard which proved quite useful. The breakfast, although basic,...

everything was wonderful, especially the stuff and their kindness och caring. We had trouble with water pressure in our shower, so it was really difficult to wash my hair. Otherwise - everything was perfect!

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Checkin was quick. Reception was able to hold our luggage while the room was being readied and we were out to get a bite. There is one elevator at the hotel. We were on the 6th floor and the room was really large by European standards. The room was bright and clean....

This hotel is situated well in the center and everything is in a walking distance. The rooms are nice and clean, same as the bathroom. Breakfast is great and during the day and night you can always prepare yourself a good cup of coffee next to the reception, which was very welcomed. Staff is very friendly and help with every...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel during our visit to Budapest on March 2017. It was a very nice, clean and quiet hotel with a very helpful staff. It was also at walking distance from Budapest's main tourist attractions and restaurants. Definitely recommend it!

Stayed at this hotel after reading rewiews on trip advisor. The most things were true - amazing stuff, perfect location, good breakfast, coffee and fruits whole day in the bar for free. The pillow menu so you can chose a pillow for just your needs. So far so good. But we had enormous trouble with water pressure in our shower....

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
