The hotel is clean, decent and in middle of town. The hotel is on a main street. The staff were very nice. As the hotel is on a main road the noise from ambulances, cars etc did let me sleep properly. But all in all very nice hotel inside.

We stayed 4 nights at City Hotel Ring and really can't fault our stay. It's located a few minutes walk from the train station (Nyugati) and Margret Bridge. Trams 4 & 6 and trolly bus 2 all stop close by aswell so it was a great base for exploring Budapest. Check in was super easy and the gentleman on reception was very helpful. Our room was clean, well presented and everything we needed for a city break. The hotel had a small bistro/restaurant located next door. We didn't try the food bit it looked really nice. They also offer a buffet breakfast there. We heard very little noise on a night and hardly ever heard anyone coming or going. Our room was located over looking the central courtyard. If I had to make one very tiny grumble it would have been nice to have a kettle and cups in the room (I think it's just an English thing liking a hot drink before bed) and maybe a bigger mirror in the room as the only mirror was in the bathroom. If you are looking at a base for a city break in Budapest I would recommend taking a look at this hotel.

The hotel has a very good position. Rooms are clean and the staff very kind and helpful. The restaurant next to the hotel has delicious meals for very convenient prices. ( if u r hotel customer u get 10% discount). I'd definitely book this hotel again.

Stayed here end of sept. All staff were lovely and helpful with enquiries. Close to local transport and tourist spots. We spent most our time on the electric scooters which meant it took us 5 mins to get to district V, 15 mins over the bridge, made sightseeing a lot more fun and cheaper. Room was big and beds comfy, maids tidied everyday just to replace towels etc. Had a great trip in Budapest!

We were a party of 3 (my husband, my 10 year old daughter and I) and were travelling to Budapest for the very first time. Our travel agent picked this hotel for us, very centrally located on the Pest side. Less than a 2 minute walk to Westend Shopping Mall, the nearest Starbuck and Nyugati Railway Station. Less than a 5 minute walk to Margaret Island. The Hop on Hop off bus stops right in front of the Starbucks, you can also purchase tickets for the hop on hop off from the hotel's reception area or right outside the Starbucks. Just look for the people wearing the shirts. The room and the bathroom were really clean, quite spacious to accommodate all 3 of us, our bags and clothes. However, the AC in the room wasn't a strong/good enough as the AC in the lobby and outside the room. It was so hot in the room that we nearly suffocated, but Budapest's weather isn't humid, we slept all night with the window open and that was more than enough, we didn't need the AC on after that. The Internet in the room was good enough all day but by 10pm it was so weak that we weren't even able to receive whatsapp messages. Which is an extreme inconvenience because we left our room every day from 9 am and got back in around 9 pm or 10 and sometimes later and not being able to log in was frustrating. However, if you sit outside the room, in the hallway seating area, you could get good Internet connection. Our shower head was very loose and we asked for it to be fixed more than once, they finally fixed it on our last night but not as well as we had hoped. The Hotel has no elevator so expect to carry your bags yourself, up the stairs. It also doesn't have a dinning hall, they use the bar/cafe that is adjoining to the hotel for breakfast. We had dinner there on our last night and their dinner was amazing! We ordered a pork schnitzel and another pork dish and it was so delicious that we regretted not having dinner there every night. Their burgers looked heavenly but they use home made patties and they had just run out when we ordered, what a bummer :( Finally, this hotel is ideal if you are looking for a clean, centrally located hotel in the Pest area.
