This is a superb hotel and its location on the bank of the Danube terrace restaurant and bar is unsurpassed in Budapest. Far from coasting on this asset, the hotel staff are faultless - friendly and professional. Very comfortable beds and rooms. stayed in Room 630

I've stayed at Budapest Marriott Hotel for business trip and the overall experience was perfect! You should definitely enjoy the view to the Danube river. Specially at night, if there are any boats crossing... The rooms are modern, spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, for a great sleep!

Fabulous location. Close to most of the historical sites on the Pest side. Well located to the restaurants and shopping area. The room was a good size and very comfortable. We had the most amazing view of the Danube river and the Hungarian National gallery amongst other famous structures !

Overall, I give the hotel and staff a rating of 10 out of 10. From the bellhop, front desk, to the executive lounge staff, all were extremely friendly and helpful. I had a beautiful 10th floor room overlooking the Danube River. Pedro Gimenez, Director of Rooms Operations, was extremely helpful. All of my return visits to Budapest, I will definitely... More

We stayed here after completing a Viking Cruise of the Danube and found it to be in a perfect location for visiting all the district 5 attractions without a car. The rooms were spacious and clean, our room on the 7th floor provided a picturesque view of Castle Hill and the lovely Danube. Arriving early in the morning from our... More

Nice hotel. We stayed here for a conference some years ago with work. The conference rooms are not enormous but they can comfortably fit 50/60 guests. We ate here and the outside terrace is lovely in the summer, overlooking the Danube river. Bar service is good and we were able to order drinks outside at the table. Recommend the river... More

Outstanding location. Every room looks out on the Danube--especially stunning at night and in the morning. Great design touches in room and public spaces. Sleek. Thoughtful and upscale without being pompous. Fine breakfast and an outdoor patio overlooking the river and trams wending nearby. The in house TV programming was generic and dated, for example, no Hungarian classical or world... More

Stayed here for 1 night this week whilst away with work and can't fault it one bit, previously stayed at The Intercontinental just up from The Marriott but this beats it. Friendly staff, lovely views over the river and fantastic food and drink will be going back for a personal trip next time!

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
