Right on the river with all rooms having a river view. A wonderfully appointed room. Locally centrally to all of the sights, within walking distance of the Central Market, restaurants, shops, museums and the walking streets. Gracious staff throughout the hotel. The restaurant served a good breakfast with a wide variety of foods. One night our group decided to eat...

The best thing about this hotel were the views over the Danube from both our room and the breakfast room. The hotel was modern, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the staff helpful and friendly. It is also in an excellent location near the main sights and lots of good dining and shopping.

Family stay at the Marriott and all four rooms were fantastic. The beds were so comfy, the view across the Danube, stunning and the cleanliness, second to none. Used towels were replaced daily and shower toiletries topped up. The hotel was very central for sightseeing/Christmas markets. The breakfast was amazing - everything from cold meats/cheese, to hot selection of bacon,...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
