Absolutely gorgeous views of the Danube River (most of the rooms face the river, but make sure to ask for one so you don't get stuck facing the street). If you have the option of using the executive lounge on the 9th floor, it has an amazing patio overlooking the river, and one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts we've... More

Stayed at this hotel as an extension from a river cruise with Viking ( this was a shambles, but a story for cruise critic ) we were told our room would be ready at 3pm, at five minutes to the hour my husband was told to come back in five minutes, what difference this made I don't know, others on... A great location and pleased to see the Danube from our room. Staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel is well located to transport links and only a few minutes walk from retail. Food and bar service is efficient and not over priced.

The hotel is in the middle of the city, by the river. Very friendly and nice staff makes your stay very pleasant. The room was nice and clean with all you need, such as coffee machine, collection of soaps etc at the bathroom. Very nice sleeping quality in the bed. I have to recommend the seafood mix at the restaurant... More

Room was very nice. Meals and Room Service were good. Everyone was friendly. Within walking distance of shops and restaurants. Gorgeous view out the windows of the river and bridges. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed for two days in early September. Very impressive on arrival with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Hotel well located on the Danube and only a few minutes walk to numerous restaurants. Didn't try the hotel restaurant for dinner as the menu didn't give such a good choice...restaurant was never very full. We were, however, very pleased with the... More

Budapest in charming and to have a hotel room facing the Danube River and Chain River Bridge is even more enchanting. Hence, Marriott was our obvious choice! All the rooms of the hotel overlook Budapest's most captivating visual (ok, second most! the first being Budapest Parliament). The location is central, convenient, close to pick up points for most tourist attractions... More

Marriott in Budapest has a great location for visiting the city. It's right on the Danube overlooking the hill city of Pest. Down the river you can visit the Parliament building, you can walk yo fashionable Andrassy Avenue, opera house and st Stephens church. Frienfly service but concierge gets really busy. They should have at least two people helping customers... More

Without a doubt, the Budapest Marriott has one of the best views we have ever seen. On the Pest side of the Danube, the views of the Danube river and the Buda Castle (especially with night lights) were stunning. The views can be enjoyed from every room thanks to the unique design of the building. The hotel is also on... More

As always, I had a wonderful stay at Marriott. The only thing wrong was that it was to short :-) Marriott Budapest is located right by the river and I had an amazing view from my room. Furthermore, the hotel is located within walking distance of great shopping and major sights. They have a great outside sitting area, where great... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
