I had a very nice stay at the Budapest Marriott. What impressed me the most was the staff. Every person I encountered, Whether is be front desk, concierge, wait staff, banquet staff, room attendants, etc. were all very helpful and pleasant to deal with. They certainly made my stay enjoyable. The room was nice. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable....

Our room was ready when we arrived early in the day, which was great. The room was a typical Marriott, which is exactly what we wanted. The bed was not very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and everything was clean. The concierge lounge was big with a big patio overlooking the river. There was a nice selection of food for...

This hotel is on the Danube river and across from Parliament. Luckily they have an on site restaurant Peppers that serves American and Hungarian food since it was pouring rain when we arrived. Very good. There is also a cafe and bar. Everyone speaks English so that makes it easy. The view if the river is amazing and entertainment all...

Our stay at the Marriott was simply outstanding. We upgraded to an Executive Room on the 9th floor with a king bed and awesome views of the Danube, The Chain Bridge, and The Royal Palace. This included access to the executive lounge which had breakfast and appetizers and snacks throughout the day as well as beer and wine at night....

I booked this hotel because I got a deal and thought I'd treat myself, and what a treat it was! It was my first time travelling to the city, and travelling alone, and the staff were so helpful. I had a beautiful room which overlooked the river, and the reception staff were always on hand when I had questions about...

Located on the Danube this is a great hotel. We booked an executive room and got breakfast and afternoon appetizers and we did not need to eat dinner as they had so much food for appetizers. Nice beds, good views, and we were able to walk to our river cruise the next morning. Located very close to AMA waterways docks

Marriott is a gem! It's location is strategic. It has easy foot access to all of the city attractions. It' s personnel is very polite and professional. At this point i need to praise the manager's great skills to solve in a knick of time a personal room issue, with an immediate upgrade. Our room (638) was spacious, very clean,...

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
