Air conditioning very poor and only in one room. It would be useful to have more than 4 coat hangers per bedroom. There was no toilet roll on late night arrival and reception is not 24/7 so had to wait until morning as shops were also closed. Bathroom and toilet room fine. Towels provided and balconies nice although just looking onto another building.

Second visit here! So firstly you need to know that the Corvin Plaza apartments are spread across two buildings with a road in-between. We've stayed in both and accommodation is similar.

Firstly a great location in the "Corvin" area of Budapest. Bus and tram stops are just around the corner, bars and restaurants in a town square setting are a 10 minute walk away. Local Spar shop just across the road.

Accommodation has always been well maintained, clean and comfortable. Reception is manned 24/7 should you need anything. Reception is small so if there are more than one party checking in the wait can be long. Whilst there are other staff around, they didn't want to help get the queue down!

One thing to be aware of is if you're going in the summer, air conditioning is only found in the lounge, not the main bedroom rooms and it is chargeable.

Luggage can be storage here if you arrive early and want to explore or leave later after check out.

Great location; the apartament was large with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (a large one and a smaller one). Plenty of space for 4 persons.
Cleaning can be improved; in 4 days no one came to do the cleaning nor change the towels.
All in all, It was Ok.

Stayed at these apartments for 6 days between 1stJune-6th June.... Was in a group of 23 girls on a Hen Trip, Arrived at the airport and they had organised transfers for us which turned up on time and was really good. We arrived and got our keys from a lock box which was good when then went to our rooms (split over 4 6 bed and a studio). We had a good stay with everything going good, we hadn't been in the apartments much as we had a busy 6 days planned then it went wrong.

First of all we were not aware that you had to ask for your towels to be changed hence why there is a washing machine in each room for you to do yourself.

We were not aware that Air con could be purchased as it only says in the room above the controller Heating only.

On the last day we checked out at our time of 10am and headed to the thermal spas for the last day before our transfer at 6pm. As we were leaving we were told that we would need to be back for 5pm as they would close the reception even although the door states 6pm. When we arrived back around 4.30pm to make sure we could get our cases one of the group was called over to say that he had taken charges from us for the following. An ironing board which we had not used and therefore was broken on our arrival (Room 302) , a broken toilet he stated (Room 302) there was no broken toilet when we left and finally a towel which was slightly stained which he said could not be washed.

We explained that one of the girls had taken the iron board out and it wouldn't go up we explained this and his reply was were we calling his housekeeping liars. With regards the the toilet one of the girls asked to see it and it was a bit of plastic that had fell off the back of the toilet and after disputing this he stated that he had taken this off and would not charge for this but was still charging for the towel and the iron board.

I understand that deliberate damages need to be paid for but these were not damages made by us and we still had to pay 9000 HUF which isn't a lot but it was the principle as there was no list of the damages in the room noted anywhere and we were not asked anything anytime also if we hadn't left our bags to go back for at no time would this have been identified to us and the money would have gone on my friends card.

If you stay here and you are in Room 302 and the iron board is still broke please let us know as would really like to make sure the money we paid went towards a new ironing board.

Right where do I begin let’s start at the end the best part about the trip was getting back on to that jet 2 flight home to our loved ones. Arriving in Hungary I knew they was something rotten in the air as my good friend lees breath foyed of dogshit and usually it’s a delight it didn’t stop there another friend of mine completely lost his head in the airport and flipped my only black friend over his shoulders something he’d never dream off in the great UK some might say he was possessed by the Budapests anyways on to the journey to the apartment from hell you travel by what seems to look like a concentration camp and old gas chambers so already the place has an uneasy feel about it … so you finally arrive at Corvin plaza what a palaver with the glass door that you can’t touch nor breath near but expect to get in once you’ve entered the residence it’s almost as if the cost of living crisis hasn’t effected this place one bit as it’s about 90 degrees due to the fact every deposit taken they have no interest in ever giving it back there heating bill is well taken care of. Once you’ve been scammed instantly into getting your room key they thinks it’s a good idea to give you 2 room keys between 4 people knowing full well the city is built like a maze and just turning the wrong corner you could be separated from the pack … the view from your apartment windows is close to what I can only imagine D day looking like with a building looking like it’s about to collapse on you in your sleep. The Corvin plaza issued us with 4 towels knowing full well we was staying for 4 nights which is disgusting especially when they seen me check in with a black fish who’s scales require at least 3 towels a day. The capital of Hungary and it’s racist arrogant ignorant horrible citizens will be forever on my never to return back to list good riddance and god bless

Starting with the bad because our trip started very very badly. We were delayed from the UK by 1hr, when we arrived at the apartments (2am) the doors were locked to the entrance. There is a sign on the door that states “ring this number if the door is locked” we rang, rang and rang… nobody answered! 5 young ladies stuck outside and wandering the streets for hours. As it was clear they were not going to answer the out of hours telephone we decided to find a local apartment to get us off the streets as we felt unsafe.

The following morning we went back to Corvin explained nobody answered and the response we got was we are closed from 1am you should have let us know you were delayed. (Not sure how we could do that as we were in the air)!!! They were not apologetic or agreed to pay for the hotel we were forced to pay for to get somewhere safe the night before.

Yes you have to pay a deposit on arrival , I read reviews before and paid cash so we didn’t have a problem getting this back (some people who paid via card did)

The apartments were clean, tidy and functional (what we needed for a girls trip away)

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you are due to arrive early hours of the morning as you won’t get in!

We found some locals nice but a lot very rude and didn’t like the English!

Breakfast is in a local cafe round the corner, this was ok very limited options (maybe 3 different dishes to choose from).

Photos are from our upgraded room not a standard room.

This hotel is nothing like what you see in the photos and the staff are really rude this hotel is only good for Ronald McDonald you pay a deposit on arrival…Don’t expect it back! I arrived with a group of civilised men who caused no trouble at all but all lost our deposit (well Lee did) due to a group of unruly men in room 305 they just walked about calling everyone Idiots and got away with it these men were wrongly connected to our group and the hotel held £400 worth of deposits even after our tour guide mr Cheevers had a very strong word with reception on our last day, the only thing missing from the area was a few fighter planes and stray bombs, don’t get me wrong there’s some positives…the Spar shop across the road was great for a few tins whilst you squat in McDonalds waiting for the pubs to open where we were then greeted with the most warning reception in the world the locals really wanted us in there Bar’s always so polite with the hello’s please and thank you’s it’s not hard is it? The sex shop around the corner sold a lovely scented bottle that made you laugh and give you a headache at the same time, and it was great for the quite one in our group James to meet up with a friend from home who was working in the area I think helping rebuild the place after the war these 2 had a great time partying into the early hours and even though James had not slept for 4 nights straight, if it wasn’t for the stag drinking copious amounts of shots I really think I may have given this place a bad review. Little tip…..watch out for the scooter boys carrying knifes selling Russian nerve agent for £40,000 Hungarian Dollars!

The room was okay but definitely not cleaned properly before we checked in. We stayed for five nights and not once did they empty the garbage bin and we couldn't empty it ourselves either since there were no empty trashbags to use.

We went to the reception on the third day to ask about cleaning and they told us it gets cleaned on the fourth day. The fourth day came and they didn't clean, so we had to go down again to ask for at least some clean towels and why it hasn't been cleaned. He just said that the housekeeper will come up with them and didn't answer the other question.

I will not go back here unfortunately.

This place is okay. A fair walk away from the city centre unless you’re using public transport.
We were only given a very thin single duvet each and 1 pillow. We were asked to pay €3 for an extra pillow which is ridiculous.
You have to pay €50 deposit on arrival as well as another fee. All the added payments seemed to be excessive.
The apartment was spacious. Lack of cleaning, would’ve been nice to have had fresh towels at least once but I’m sure we would’ve been charged if we had asked for new ones.
Bed was dirty, covered by a thin mattress topper.
Staff seemed to not enjoy their jobs and observed to be rude to other customers.
I would recommend for anyone wanting a cheap stay but I personally would not come back.

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very rude gentleman at the reception demanding a £50 deposit (which you will NOT get back) and also card details to probably further scam you, budapest in general is basically chernobyl covered in glitter, my african/english friend was constantly categorised as well as my homosexual friend which had to drink copious of amounts of shots to get over the trauma caused by arrogant locals. You would think that a tourist would be welcomed but no..... quite the opposite as o'doylem irish bar constantly refused to serve us as we had a non-binary friend and african fish man with us! As for the hotel, hotel was clean apart from we found king kongs finger in the bed next to me (disgusting) and maybe a few adult channels on the sky box wouldnt go a miss in future! If you walk the streets then look out for big maximus and budapest tony montana as these guys will shank you bruv and take your 4million hungarian forints. This city screams the film hostel and i was lucky enough to return home with my achilles still intact! NOT FOR STAG DO'S
