Really nice hotel closed to the market and in a real quiet street only for pedestrian. Clean and nice rooms with good breakfast. Acceptable room size and nice young atmosphere. Clean bathroom Possibility to park near the hotel in a public parking at a cheap rate.
The hotel has a very helpful reception and checking in easy and room was ready early. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel was in a good location within walking distance of shops and restaurants and local attractions. Breakfast was quite limited same two cereals everyday and not much of a selection of hot food. The man supervising would only let you sit at a table for two even if the tables were empty. I found his manner quite rude. The same pink cloth was used to wipe the tables and was thrown onto a tray and used over and over again. No spray or rinsing of the cloth did I see and the room was quite small and tables close together. The restaurant would be my only negative about this hotel.
On arrival we had to look for the receptionist so not a great start but the service was very good during the stay. Staff very helpful in booking attractions and directions. The rooms have a nice decor with all we needed and are a reasonable size. Shower could have done with a clean and towels were thin and off white. The location is good and we could walk to all attractions. We got the 100E airport shuttle bus from the airport for 900huf. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the bus stop. There was lots of restaurants nearby but we found there was more going on of an evening in the Jewish quarter. The breakfast really let's this hotel down and on our last 2 days we went elsewhere (ambers cafe and kuglof). Breakfast was very basic. Fruit was tinned and some oranges that looked like they had their day. Muesli and cornflakes. Croissants if there was any left. Hot food was mainly sausages and egg. Juice wasn't fresh and more like squash. I would recommend this hotel but room only. …
Great hotel in a good location, plenty of restaurants on your doorstep, many attractions within walking distance, breakfast was good if basic, especially as we forgot we got it in the price, I emailed ahead & requested a kettle & iron in our room & they were there but no mugs!! We did manage to take some from the reception where there is free tea & coffee provided between 12-5, hotel arranged a taxi to take us to the Széchenyi spa as this was an hour away on foot, cost 4000HUF, mini bar in room not badly priced, we did have a bottle of sparkling wine in our room which we didn't order & not mentioned in minibar prices so asked at reception if it was free, which I don't think it was, but they gave it to us complimentary. We would use this hotel again if we returned to Budapest 😍
Right in the inner city, near the Danube and market, this property is perfect for walking around downtown. The rooms themselves have a funky, contemporary sort of theme to them that seems out of character with the location, but certainly served their purpose - putting you close to the action. My bathroom shower did not drain properly but the staff was very attentive. As a warning, I would say that if you are a large person, you will have a hard time negotiating the corner, walk-in shower. The breakfast buffet was very nice and since I was there off-season, so was the price. Nothing spectacular about this hotel, but they do everything well.
