Detailed Reviews
Stayed her for 2 days on a shirt trip. Arrived fairly late in the evening and was swifty checked in. By friendly receptionist. She gave advice on where to find something to eat at that late time or offered to arrange a takeaway as no restaurantat the hotel whichwas a little disappointing. The room was hot, which was uncomfortable during the night had to open the window and have the constant traffic noise as the aircon didn't work but it worked well when drying our things from the thermal baths (5min walk) the next day! Lots of choice at breakfast the next morning, cereals, yoghurt, ham, cheese, bread and a hot option. Only saw staff for them to ask for the breakfast voucher, a bitbof help working the drink machine would have been great. Check out was equally as swift, paying the city tax and minibar costs and they were more tgan happy to store our bags after checkout until out late eve flights. Location wise, just ocer the road ftom heros Square and a 1 min walk to the yellow line metro and bus stops ine of which takes you to the castle. So while its a little bit away from the city hustle once you get your head around the transport system its only minutes from anywhere.
Would stay again.

The location is perfect for the spa complex, and park nearby with a lot of things there, a bit of a walk to the Danube part of the city but with very good transport links, including a night bus which we used. The room was ok as a size, our was overlooked on a side, so not too noisy, bare in mind the hotel is situated on a main street with a lot of traffic in the day. The staff was very helpful anytime we needed them.

It’s a very nice, cozy hotel, it is very well located, right across heroes square. Actually the receptionist was very nice and let us choose between two rooms that were available in the hotel, and we chose the one with the view on the heroes square which was just wonderfull. The thermal baths are 10 minutes by walking. The room, although wasn’t very spacious, was very comfortable and quiet. The hotel has parking for which you have to pay. The breakfast was fine, but the girl who clears the table was very upset in every morning , seamed like she wanted to punch somebody . The metro station is near hotel. Over all we would return here.

Really nice hotel, set about a 5mins walk from Hero's Square, a bus ride into the centre and a 10mins walk to the Széchenyi Baths. Would definitely recommend.
David on reception helped us with directions and places to see, Choba the kitchen manager was great. Nice, welcoming staff.

We arrived at 5:25 pm after a long train ride from Prague. We had to wheel our luggage around the block to access the elevator. There was no one available to check us in as desk clerk was busy at Chinese Medical Centre which was not here when I last stayed at this hotel in 2015. We asked for ice and he didn’t think there was any but some did appear. The room is too hot and he says that is as cool as it goes! We are not off to a happy start. Really enjoyed this hotel last time.

Nice hotel in convenient area to get around Budapest. Really good internet, breakfast was fine, staff very nice and friendly. Slight complaint only that needed air con to work better. Room has tall ceilings so heat stayed in room. Nice modern bathroom.

The lady at the reception was exceptionally friendly and really tried hard to make our stay pleasant! This made such a difference.
Hotel is close to a big park and underground train station which gets you into the city centre in just a few minutes.
Our room was a little dated and bathroom in need of renovation. Breakfast was a bit simple. Overall, it was a good experience.

Our first time travelling to Budapest, we booked our stay with Voyage Prive, based on the good reviews the hotel had received. The location is great as its right next to the Metro and Heros square, although if you want places to eat etc right on your doorstep this may seem too far out of the centre. For us this was fine as we liked the walk.
We had booked to stay in a Superior Room for 5 nights which included breakfast. When we arrived we were given room 305. When we walked in to the room, we were greeted with a wall covered in black damp mould right next to the bed. The pillows on the bed were also quite badly stained and the carpet and walls had seen better days. I have never felt the need to change rooms before, but on this occassion I didn't feel we had a choice. They didn't seem very surprised at the request.
We were moved to the groundfloor which was much better but no view and heavy road noise.
We were quite disappointed overall with our stay. The breakfast was ok but also its worth being aware that there isn't really a lounge area as the bar is located outside in the cafe, which is quite pricey and not very nice.
Overall we wouldn't stay here again but it is very affordable and central for the major sites.

Response from Noémi J, Director of Sales at Mirage Medic Hotel
Responded Feb 12, 2018
Dear Emma, First of all I would like to thank very much for having chosen our hotel, the Mirage Medic Hotel for your recent stay in Budapest. We are gladly reading that overall you were satisfied with the location of the hotel and you could reach the city centre easily. I am sorry to hear that you have not met your expectations in our hotel. Your feedback is really important for us and it has been forwarded to the housekeeping manager in order to improve our services. We are reading with regret that you find the rooms too noisy. As we are located near the main road in front of the Heroes’ square, we have sound proof windows to avoid these problems, but unfortunately it cannot completely eliminate the noises. All of our rooms faced to the courtyard are silent and guarantees a relaxing stay. We do hope that despite of the mentioned fact you enjoyed your stay in Budapest. Kind regards from Mirage Medic Hotel, Noémi Jávor Director of Sales
