I travelled in January with two 10-year-olds and we were greatly impressed with our stay. The room for three could actually accomodate 5 easily - a lot of space, the beds large and really comfortable. There were all the necessary things in the room you would need with kids - tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge, plenty of storage... More

It is rare to have a stay as satisfying as we experienced at Butterfly Home. Upon arrival, there was a small wait as Andras assisted another guest. Unlike every other experience waiting for a check-in however, this gave a glimpse into how Andras interacts with his guests - courteously, patiently and attentively. He personally carted my partner's bag up stairs... More

Arrived late in the evening, when we met Robert, the young college student helping out the owners for evening and late night arrivals. Robert gave us excellent suggestions on restaurants, sights, while the next morning András gave us the low-down on the do's and don'ts of Budapest. Ask him anything, and if he does not have an answer automatically, he'll... More

We had a three days stay in Budapest at Butterfly home - Andras is a great host!!! The b&b has a wonderful position: it is in the city centre and it is few minutes from anything important by feet. Starting from the good part: 1) location is great - in a no-traffic street and close to everything You want to... More

From our first night we were met with our handsome host, Robert. He was excellent in advising restaurants, sights etc...Our room was up on the 4th floor and had a spectacular view. We were walking distance from everything and the hotel was very, very clean. The mornings included an EXCELLENT breakfast next door.

This is the best hotel I have ever visited before. Very friendly and careful staff (András and Timea, thank you again!) as well as new arrangement of the rooms would make your trip unforgettable. P.S.: yeah, breakfast is very delicious!

We stayed here after completing a Danube river cruise from Vilshofen to Budapest. We wanted to make the most of our 2 days in Budapest to see and experience as much as possible. Thanks to the good information and guidance from András as well as the location of Butterfly Home we were able to do that. We arrived early (10... More

This review is long overdue. We stayed in Butterfly Home in May 2014. I always start my review highlighting the 3 elements that really matter to me as a traveller: 1. Location -- has to be close to conveniences, restaurants and the places i want to see 2. Service -- nothing spoils a vacation more than an unpleasant experience in... More

Andras and his team make sure you make the most of your stay in Budapest, arranging your itinerary to your available time, requirements and expectations. He really made our time totally full of adventure, history and entertainment. Packed in the opera, spa visit, DAnube tour, lots of walking and public transport, lots of great dining recommendations according to our taste.... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighborhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
