Stayed here for 4 nights and was an amazing experience. András was always available and made everything in Budapest that extra special. Recommended Restaurants and Cafes around Budapest and where to avoid as well, made sure that we didn't get caught in Tourist Traps and enjoyed ourselves. He also booked Thermal Bath and a cruise for us to save us the trouble of having to ourselves and also allowed us to skip the queues. From the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much but once you get into it, you're greeted as family and shown everything with a great view of the River out the window. Yes some things could do with an update but it's nothing that ruins the holiday; you'll more than likely only stay in the room for the night and be exploring Budapest for the day. Everything is clean, beds are comfy and you have Towels and Robes, Free WiFi, TV, Tea and coffee in the room. If you asked, items can be cleaned and ironed and returned next day. Everything was offered and you get personal service and treated like a member of András family, not a guest. The hotel is located right next to the River Danube and near some excellent restaurants and opposite the Great Market Hall. You can easily get the Metro and Tram which is about a 1 minute walk. We got the 100E bus from the airport to the Hotel and back, about 5min walk and very easy to get too (buy your tickets for the return trip at the airport as well, guy who selling tickets at the stop home was selling them 1800HUF and at the airport they are 900HUF so save yourself some money) If you want somewhere that's easy to stay, great location, great staff then this is the place!…
I was on holiday in Budapest with a friend. Thanks to this marvelous b&b we had great time there. The location is in front of the market and near to metro, tram and buses stop. We were near to the bridge to go to cittadella and we really enjoyed going on foot everywhere in the city. The room is daily cleaned and the personnel very very polite and nice. They can help you for everything you need. Thank you! I really recommend it!
I wanted to love this place, it just didn't do it for us. Lots of pros, but unfortunately there were also cons. The positives: great location, very clean, good breakfast, very nice host with great recommendations (restaurants & activities). The negatives: reservation mix-up, a few ants, loud toilet, slow shower, a small, slow elevator, and lots of keys & doors & codes. If you are on a budget, this is really a good place....it would be hard to find any better. I really think it's perfect for youth, and singles (I'm sure they would give it 4 or 5 stars). I don't think it's really meant for elderly people or for a special occasion. All that said, we still had a very worthwhile experience there and for some this would be a great place to stay. 3.5 stars
We loved the location, the size of the house and the breakfast. But it was such a serious pain to climb up all the floors accessible only by stairs especially when there is no help from the host. The host wasn't unkind, but I could not feel the same welcome that some reviews say.
We drove to Budapest, and Andras, the host, gave us detailed and precise instructions on parking, how to get into our rooms. The location can't be better for any 1st time visitors. It's right across the main market and Liberty Bridge, and has easy access to nice restaurants and the Danube river front. Our room was large (we were there with our 17-year-old son), and we were very comfortable. The bath room was beautifully furnished and very cleanly kept. Breakfast was laid out every morning in the dining room with a large variety of items. Andras gave us dining recommendations and arranged river cruise on our behalf. I highly recommend the B&B, and would stay there again without a moment's hesitation!
