I just stayed here with friends while backpacking. We were contacted before we checked in which made the entire process very smooth. Extremely friendly people and we were shown to a huge apartment right next to the basilica. Very clean, safe with multiple locks and keys, high quality of everything. Would definitely stay here again! Great place and friendly people!
It was perfect. Great location. Good people. Gigantic apartment. The people are great and we helped a lot. We would recommend IT to everyone. The location is near the great church. And perfect of the middel of the city
Really perfectly located hostel in the very center of the city. Great for a group of travelers. Affordable, nice and clean. Smooth and client-friendly check in and check out procedures. Not a luxury place, but we really enjoyed this place and experience!
I really enjoyed my stay here, great location, beautiful view of the basilica. Close to everything. Very comfortable if you’re coming from the airport with the shuttle, saves money and time. Because of COVID there was no reception services most of the day, and the common area was closed, which impacted the atmosphere a bit. In the photo the view from the balcony
When we were there during the pandemic in 2020 the price did not reflect that of a hostel, more of a hotel, and the experience being one of a cheap, run down, badly organized one. You can find an actual hotel for the same price with better working facilities with a place not falling down.
At Pal’s you will be literally in the heart of the action, just steps away from the St. Stephen’s Cathedral and a short walk away from Deak Ferenc ter which is a transport hub right in the centre of Budapest. You can’t ask for a more central location, yet it was peaceful and quiet, day and night. It was cleaner than most 3-4 star hotels I stayed at. We were given an apartment with a private bathroom for the price of a private room with a shared bathroom – a great off-season deal! The place was very spacious, enough to fit five people. It was impeccably clean, had all requisite amenities and stoked with plates and cutlery, enough to fix a simple meal. There was a small problem with the heating but after calling the reception they immediately sent a staff member to fix the thermostat, and the night passed warm and nice. Disliked (relevant only for people with mobility limitations): To reach the apartment one has to first check-in at the reception (access through two automated doors, ascend 2nd floor with an elevator) and then walk around the corner and enter through another automated door and ascend 5th floor with an elevator.…
I recently stayed at Pal's hostel. I really enjoyed my stay, the room was good and very clean. I had a kitchen and fridge to cook my own food. The hostel is in a great location. It is very near to lots of bars, restaurants, and shops. I would stay again the next time I come to Budapest. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. Wayne.
Pal‘s is a super hostel with a creative, open minded atmosphere. Conversation in advance and during stay was a real pleasure and very helpful. The room we had was very spacious, perfectly clean, quiet and well equipped, even with fridge ... balcony with incredible view to the Bazilika. Pal’s is in the center and you can walk to basically all sights around Budapest. We will definitely come back- hopefully soon! Thanks a million to Pal‘s team!
This hostel/apartment was an amazing mix of ornate and modern. I loved my room! Spacious and comfy and the building itself was beautiful. I was sure I’d gone to the wrong place when I turned up! It really is an amazing location. You can walk Everywhere from this hostel. Literally. And the staff are the nicest I’ve met on my travels. So happy and friendly and go the extra lengths to help you with whatever you need. I cannot recommend this place enough! See you again!
Not much to say but “Highly Recommended”. The location is just unbelievably nice. It was clean and the staff were so nice. By far, in other countries that we’ve been, it is the best apartment that we had. The penthouse that is overlooking the St. Stephen’s Basilica will leave you in awe. Just around the building are restaurants that you can choose to whether you want to try the traditional Hungarian cuisine or just to take a sip of your favorite Starbucks coffee..
