Definitely not a 5 star experience. From the pre-holiday info we were under the impression we could access the hotel facilities but on arrival found the pool came at an additional cost of 15 euros per person per day!! Internet connection poor, only 2 English TV channels I.e. Sky and BBC news, no film channels or film rental. Breakfast in... More

In the 7th district of Budapest, a 15 minute walk or £10 cab ride from the Danube and parliament buildings, is the Boscolo Hotel - formerly the New York Palace, having been headquarters to the New York Life Insurance company. At the back of the Boscolo hotel is the Boscolo residence. Less smart than the main hotel, the residence offers... More

Great place to stay, no issues at all! Felt welcomed as soon as we arrived, clean rooms, polite staff, great apartments with all you need. Town is very close, 200/300 metres! Not noisy considering how close town is, I would recommend this place to anyone. Make sure you get reception to book your taxis, and grab a free cuppa while... More

The Boscolo Residence are serviced apartments that link on to the 5* Boscolo Autograph hotel. They too are advertised as being 5* which I think is a little optimistic though we enjoyed our stay. The room was large, the bed hard and not particularly comfortable and shower decent enough but there are things amiss that you would certainly not expect... More

Lovely hotel big modern well furnished to a very good standard. Room service daily and food available on room service is provided by the Boscolo residence. Close to the underground station and very easy to get down to the centre. We chose the Boscolo apartments so we could cook meals and prepare food however as eating out was so accessible... More

The bathroom/shower is gross and moldy. Wifi barely connects. Hotel behind an abandoned building. Halls are kind of creepy. No slippers/robe. I'm very disappointed. We booked 5 Star Hotel and it feels like 3.5 Will not come back here again.

We stayed in a deluxe suite and received a really good price through Expedia. The residence and hotel can be found easily by metro, bus or tram. The staff were friendly and happy to help whenever they could. Our suite was just what we needed, with a small kitchen, clean and spacious bathroom and king size bed with a mini... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
