Flow is an interesting hostel to say the least. It's located in the top corner of an old communist-looking building that has a relatively pungent odor as you walk through the door. The hostel itself is very eclectic and one could say "charming." There are only two rooms with beds (all of which are colorfully designed) and it is a... More

I've travelled all around the world and been in many hostels and I can honestly say that this is one of the best (if not the best) I've ever seen. It's very different anyway from the usual youth hostel: if you're looking for a party hostel, go elsewhere. But if you'd like to feel like at home, in a relaxed... More

I've been many hostels all around the Europe, but there's no such place like Flow. Absolutely adorable staff, great localization, handmade beds with character (very stable ones, and cozy, incomparable with those common hospital-like ones you usually have in hostels). Everything has it's own spirit :), and is kept clean and in order. When I first time entered the Flow... More

Stayed for 6 nights at the Flow in the end of my trip in Europe. That was awesome and I felt like home. The staff is pleasant and is worried about your stay in Budapest. The place is cozy, clean, warm and beautiful.. every detail was thought, even in the bathroom!! You can find out all the facilities and they... More

Stayed in this apartment hostel for 2 nights in Oct 2011. Whilst the location is not bad (10 mins walk to the tram stop and main streets), I find the condition of the bathrooms and kitchen just unbearable, and the whole hostel very messy. The 2 bathrooms have only blinds as doors, which means they can't be completely closed. Worst... More

Excellent hostel, very, very clean, has a Wi/Fi, the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. Hostel is easy to find, not far from various kinds of transportation (tram, metro, trolley…), 5-10 min walking, that depends on type of transportation, and has a good connection with other parts of the Budapest. Also has a breakfast in offer, which... More

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A small but comfy flathostel made with love and care to create a mild ambience for your stay. Though not a party hostel, it's within a walking distance from downtown's 'Bermuda triangle' of Pest side - streets of frenzie packed with clubs and bars in and out. The spirit comes from the crew that created thespace and furniture to make home for those far from home. Want to go invisible? Choose a double room. Want to schmooze? Take the 4 or 6 bed dormitory. Flow is a living creature, we have programs inside (cooking, moovies, therapies), while we can give you our best insider's tips for hanging out. ... more   less
