We stayed here early March 2023. Reception staff were friendly and spoke English. Room and bathroom in our small apartment was very clean. Recently regrouted bathroom. Decent powerful shower. Small washing machine in the bathroom. Kitchen is basic and only has a hob, no oven, but there's a microwave. Right next to tram stops and bus links. Be aware this is 3 miles from the centre, but the transport system is amazing. Overall would recommend and cheap as chips for five nights.
Very short walk to tram 14, which gets you on the really great Budapest transport network, so you can go and explore very easily. OK, there is not a whole lot of note in the local area, but that is fine. Really convenient that there is a Spar supermarket just one minute away and a Lidl just a very short walk beyond that.
This was the best apartment in my 20 years experience with RCI exchange. Very clean, good location, very comfortable . Restaurant offers very cheap menu lunch (cheaper like breakfast) You have very good public transport from here and a lot of superstores.
Easy access to city via public buses only took 10 minutes, the apartments where cleaned on a daily basis. The cafe was very affordable an staff where helpful considering our language barriers. For how mkuch you pay it was good value.
Nice apartment a little worn and kitchen utilities was of poor quality such a knives and pans. The location is good but people in the near by Spar shop seems hostile to foreigners. The Hungarians are also rude in traffic and frequently causing near death experiences. My advice is to use taxi or public transport, use high quality restaurants and other facilities - then you might get service and politeness that you get in other places - but of cause not even close to Austrian or Bavarian polities and hospitality to give a near by reference.
The good things about this place: - Close proximity to the bus stops or tram station. Get the unlimited public transport pass and it's easy to get anywhere you want without worrying about transfer costs or ticket validations or buying tickets at the stations each time. It's very cheap, only US $17 per person for a 7-day pass. - Two grocery stores nearby 1-3 mins walk, not sure about their hours but one of them was open until 10pm. - Towels get changed daily - Very little to no traffic noises - Self-service laundry available in their basement for 3x 100 HUF coins per wash, some units have washers but we didn't get one in ours. The bad: - Dirty/rusty kitchen appliances/utensils. The pots and pans were so old and rusty. The only thing we cooked were boiled eggs and we microwaved our bread because the toaster was so gross. - Even though it's a quiet neighborhood and you don't hear any traffic noises, however the church near the apartment rings their bell for 1 whole minute at 7:30 in the morning. - No bars of soap and shampoo provided. Only liquid soap and toilet paper. - You get 1 bath and 1 hand towel only (which are replaced daily). No face towels, no kitchen towels are provided. - There is no dryer available, you dry your clothes by hanging them on a wire rack inside the apartment so plan laundry days accordingly.…
Apartments were clean, included refridge, stovetop, microwave, hot water in shower all day. About 20 minutes outside city center. Buses and trams 5 min walk away. Bus 105 goes to Hero’s Plaza, Hosek Ter, Octogon, Eating Area, Opera House, St Stephen Basilica, right to Buda Castle, River Area. It’s Beke Ter stop on Lehel Utca. Spar grocery right next door. Clean, staff helpful in getting you around, especially in morning and afternoon. Clean and safe area. In residential area. Overall good experience.
This location has self serve laundry facilities but they do not include a dryer and you must use a wire drying rack in each room, don't be in a rush for your closes to dry. There is a Spar and Litl store just down the block so you can pick up a few thing, bring shopping bags or you will have to pay for some.
Great location next to the bus/tram stops, easy transfer to all metro lines. Washer in unit and drying rack. Two grocery stores on same block open to 10pm. Recommend getting a week bus/tram/metro ticket, you use one ticket on all transportation. If traveling outside of Hungary(or within too), recommend getting Euros also, they are accepted everywhere in case you can't use your credit card or Hungarian Forinth. The apartment was very helpful getting a reliable taxi to get to airport or train station.
Positive points : My room was air conditioned which was great. Seemed to be newly renovated. Daily Housekeeping which was great. Great location. Supermarkets and transportation within walking distance. Everything is accessible. Hungarian people who SPEAK ENGLICH are extremely helpful. If you are seeking an info in English search for the young generations. Negative points: There were insects most of the time and I got a bite as soon as I entered the room. I had to kill one which I found in the bedroom . Bed linens were dirty and I requested them to be changed which they did in a timely manner. Not all towels were neat.
