Detailed Reviews
Pros:
Such an amazing stay at the Parisi Udvar Hotel! We were here for two nights in a Hexagon suite over New Years. We are also Explorist members on an award booking. The room facilities were contemporary, well maintained, and stylish. Customer service went well above my expectations for Budapest, but much in line with a 5 star city hotel in a major city.
We did appreciate the small but high quality spread in the club lounge that seems to be available at generous hours of the day. The club associate who was present throughout our stay was a delight. We found ourselves often being the only guest in the club lounge, so dining was very private and quiet. It's also worth mentioning that many rooms on the first floor are directly adjacent into the lounge atrium.
The location was convenient and very accessible to several bus lines just near the entrance. We found it especially useful for our departure and arrival from Budapest-Keleti Station. The lobby is the nicest area of the hotel, so much that non guests regularly come in to photograph the public space. Outside of the rooms, much of the hotel is very historical and the property did an excellent job of restoring the facilities. We enjoyed taking the stairs simply because of the beautiful architecture!
Cons: Our only gripes about the property was the leaking sewage fumes for one of the bathrooms nearest the living room TV. As we were only a couple, we easily avoided this problem by delegating ourselves to the non smelly bathroom/bedroom and partitioning off the other half of the suite, however those who want to fully utilize the Hexagon Suite accommodations should avoid room 322.
We also found the in-property treatments at Zafir Spa to be average and certainly not worth the price especially with the competition in Budapest. We booked a 90 minute Anti-Stress Aromatherapy for 90 minutes (39,000 HUF) which was more than any external spa experience in the activities guide.
Easily a five star experience with just a fix to the bathroom sewage fumes in Room 322 and improvements in pricing and quality for the Zafir Spa.

You MUST stay here! This place is legendary. Stunning with flawless service, Mark at the bar makes wicked cocktails. We stayed in room 212, which faces the main road but their is an outdoor electric blind and two internal curtains as well as double glazing so we never heard the traffic.
Cocktails are great. Location is great. The building is phenomenal. Never tried the food but this will no doubt have been great too!
The reception staff know your name and always greet you in a friendly and welcoming fashion. Truly superb space.

My wife an I stayed for 16 nights at the Párisi Udvar Hotel in July 2022. My wife took Hungarian summer classes at a nearby university.
The hotel is located in a historical building that was the private residence of a noble person about 200 years ago. The building was extended and renovated several times since. The interior architecture of the hotel is stunning. Many tourists enter the lobby just to take pictures of the glass dome.
Our room was modern and spacious. It had a full size desk, a sitting area, coffee making area and a kind-size bed. The room had both a shower and a bath. The view from the room was towards an elaborate old building across the street. That building had may external ornaments.
The service in the hotel was superb. Each day the cleaning staff visited our room 4 times: First to clean the room, followed by a visit of a supervisor to ensure the quality of the cleaning, followed by a person who replenished the coffee and minibar, and finally a person who prepared the room for the night. Room service was quick. A few minutes after complaining to the cleaning lady that we run out of Nespresso capsules for the coffee maker, another person knocked on the door and brought more capsules.
We ate breakfast every day in the hotel's restaurant. The breakfast buffet had many options. It was suitable for people with gluten and dairy allergies. The servers were attentive. After the second breakfast they learned our names, our preferred coffee, our preferred bread (gluten free), and jam (apricot). If you buy the breakfast package, each breakfast costs 25 Euros per person, but it makes sense only if you eat breakfast every day at the hotel. Otherwise breakfast costs 35 Euros per person.
The hotel is short walking distance from Erzsébet bridge, ELTE university, and the Jewish quarter. It is located almost on top of the Ferenciek Tere metro station.

When you first walk in the lobby you can’t fail to be impressed by the architecture of the hotel. The refurbishment of the building is a spectacle. However, aside from the amazing architecture the hotel is wonderful. Great location, staff were helpful always smiling and friendly, and the food was lovely. The breakfast was fresh, very tasty and only small amounts were left out each time. You can also order off a list to the Buffett - my eggs royals was lovely. For me the sign of a hotel that cares about what food it’s serving at breakfast is nice bread ( not just sliced processed bread) and freshly squeezed juices, as a starting point!! This hotel had both. The trout and other fish was spot on and the chia was gorgeous. The coffee was great and service excellent. The evening meal was also delicious and the cocktails are great. Try the phantom of the opera if you like mezcal.
The rooms have white stuff toiletries and you get a pillow menu. My pillow was to die for and I slept really well. The rooms are very quiet and the floor lights come on in the night so you can see where you are going if you need to get up to use the bathroom. Little things!! The spa is also nice and a nice treat after a day our exploring. There is also a Lidl opposite the hotel if you need things.
I’d stay here again, it was wonderful.

We stayed 3 nights in this amazingly beautiful hotel in April 2022 with two kids in two rooms.
Just entering the hotel is an experience. Everywhere you look you are just stunned by the details of this gorgeous building.
Walking the isles and having breakfast in such beautiful surrounding was almost surreal.
The rooms are big and bright, the beds amazing. even a coffee machine in the room and chocolate on the pillows, just as an extra treat. There is a pillow menu - if you prefer a different style of pillow.
There is floor lighting if you have to use the bathroom during the night, so you don't have to wake up anyone else by turning the lights on. Small details like this just makes it even more luxurious.
The bathrooms are huge and the rain fall shower just make you start the day in a really nice way.
The staff we met there were all really kind and helpful. Without being snobby, but in a really relaxing and feel good way. Everyone from the concierge to the lady at the spa were very welcoming and smiling. especially the waiters at the breakfast were really kind both to us and the kids.
Really nice breakfast menu, including bubbles, Eggs Benedict, Avocado toasts lot's of different coffee's - just excellent to start your day there.
The spa is small but definitely wort a visit. With huge jacuzzi, different saunas, crushed ice to cool your body, sofas and drinks - it is a treat you don't want to miss out on.
Parisi Udvar is definitely be where we will be staying next time as well.

The Parisi Udvar Hotel was built in the 19th century. It was inspired by the Passage des Panoramas in Paris which, today is the oldest covered passage in Paris. During the 1800s and 1900s, covered passageways started to appear all over Paris. The walkways were often ornate in decor and featured all kinds of hotels, restaurants, and boutique shops.
The Hungarian Savings Bank occupied the hotel for a while. Now it has been transformed into a stylish hotel with Moorish and Gothic influences. The transformation started in 2014 and the builders and architects needed to maintain the elegant style of the original building because it was protected.
The staff we met were terrific. We met Petra, the F&B person and she made sure that everything was working for us every day. The hotel is part of the Unbound collection of hotels for Hyatt. They had an executive lounge and Daniella greeted us every day with a smile. She acted somewhat as our concierge - arranging things for us or advising us on where to go.
I would highly recommend this hotel. It’s an architectural gem and it has been transformed into a beautiful hotel. The hotel is a few steps away from a major walking street so you can easily shop or find a restaurant or bar just steps away from the hotel. Enjoy Budapest!

I was bowled over at the sheer stunning beauty of this historic building, a former turn of the 20th century shopping arcade. Superbly, meticulously and sympathetically restored by craftsmen/women, who surely must rank as the best in the world.
The staff, a young team, looked after us with polite, genuine & helpful professionalism. The were kind and so sweet.
The room was considerably, and beautifully appointed, eg thoughtfully placed, motion sensor, tiny dim skirting board lights, that lit up during the hours of darkness to light the way to the bathroom.
I cannot fail to recommend this hotel to any traveller, holidaymaker or business person who is looking for a superb, comfortable, quality hotel to stay.

My wife and I stayed at this lovely hotel during our trip to Budapest in March 2022.
Upon arrival you are instantly in awe due to it grandness and stunning architecture.
The staff were lovely, and always ready to help with any questions or issues you may have. We had arrived early and we were happily informed that our room was ready and we could check in.
The room itself is perfect! It is quite large, with a king size bed, soft bedding, bed side tables, two arm chairs, a bench, smart TV, full length mirror, ironing board, iron, safe, cupboards, floor to ceiling windows with incredible city views and black out blinds. There is also a mini bar, Nespresso coffee machine, free still and sparkling water, a selection of teas and a kettle. The bathroom was also spacious with a lovely shower, amenities, bidet, and even speakers that are linked to the TV.
This hotel has lots of unique features which we loved, such as the spa and jacuzzi pool, including sauna, infrared sauna, and steam room. This is free to use for all guests. They also provide treatments at a price.
Breakfast was delicious and one of the best we had in Budapest! The menu has plenty to choose from in terms of food and drink and the service is impeccable.
The location is also a plus as it is situated in the main shopping district, with plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. It is a 26 minute walk from the Citadella and 30 minute walk from Buda Castle.
Overall, we had the perfect stay and would happily book this hotel again.

Fantastic hotel ! Luxurious and ornate glass dome, ceiling, and balcony in the lobby and restaurant areas. Pedestrians sometimes come inside just to gawk at the grand and ornate ceiling. This hotel has old-world charm and details as it was a bank with grand lobby before. It looks like a smaller version of the Lafayette shopping mall in Paris or Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle in Milan. Lobby, house-keeping and bell staffs were extremely friendly and welcoming. We, as Hyatt Globalist, were upgraded to the large corner suite with complimentary water in glass bottles (don't know if free water bottle is for all type of room). This is the top of the Hyatt chain. Location is great and central too as you can see Erzsebet bridge and the famous Danube river are just steps from front door. One can walk to New York Cafe, Central Market Hall, etc. Bolt rideshare is very affordable in Budapest so it's easy and inexpensive to go anywhere. Thank you.

Hyatt made great efforts in making this one of the highlights of Budapest. From the very first moment you enter this hotel, the room [ we took one with city view] up to the breakfast, or a cocktail in the bar it will take you.
We didn't had lunch or dinner so I can not say anything about those. We used the spa, which is small but very nice.
The hotel is close to all places of interest.
Do not agree to the very few negative comment I noticed here.
Definitely worth the money and the place to stay when you are in Budapest.
