Absolutely stunning yet relaxing hotel in a beautiful nice location to visit Budapest. This was a highlight for the whole family during our trip to Hungary/Romania. The overall staff was exceptional with gorgeous large rooms to relax after daily activities. Breakfast in the forum is amazing.....look forward to come back at some point.

Wow! An absolutely amazing phenomenal hotel. From our greeting from concierge late at night to all the staff was amazing. The hotel Is truly spectacular, you just stand in awe as the piano plays. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was beyond words. Massive with loads of little luxury extras. The team couldn’t do enough for you. Plenty of towels. Robes and slippers. I just kept thinking at tons of points wow wow wow. And I was greeted with beautiful deserts and fruit for my birthday which was so thoughtful. Great turndown service. Just so amazing. Thank you so much for making my birthday stay so special. We didn’t want to leave and without a doubt we will be back. We really want to thank the gentleman on reception who checked us in on Friday 17th June (we were the last residents). Every day he greeted us with a smile and lovely friendliness. And to lovely gentleman who looked after us at breakfast - so down to Earth with an infectious laugh

The hotel is stunning and the staff were incredibly warm and fun. We visited the dessert and Champagne bar nightly and the woman (I didn't get her name) who helped us was so fun. The rooms are big and light and lovely. We were on the side of the building that got road noise, so that was the only issue, but the hotel offers a true 5 star experience.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture. Walking into the lobby for the first time, I felt as if transported to a bygone era of class and glamour (the hotel was built in 1914 as a bank). Staff were helpful and friendly. And VERY IMPORTANTLY, fluent in English (not common in Hungary)

The cocktail menu was small, but boy was they good. And even the showmanship was breathtaking—a place like almost none other. Do yourself a favor and make sure you have at least one drink there. Food was good, but nothing spectacular.

When looking into hotels for Budapest it was between the Four Season and this hotel. I ended up choosing the Parisi Udvar because the photos of it looked so unique and incredible. In hind site, I wish I had gone with the Four Seasons. When we arrived, it was slightly disappointing to see in person that it doesn't look as authentic and old and original as the pictures led me to believe. My husband commented that it reminded him of a Vegas hotel built to look like something else, ie Caesar's Palace or the Venetian. We found out from the front desk that it actually used to be a mall and office building and that made a lot of sense. Kind of looks like a mall once you're in there. Regardless, it was still a very nice hotel. Rooms seem brand new, very clean and updated. Bathrooms were large. Everything was well appointed. I guess we were just a bit sad to be in such an old city with so much history and charm but staying in a hotel that seemed kind of soulless and bland. My only other complaint was that the staff - while all VERY friendly - seemed a bit untrained and inexperienced for a 5 star hotel. Front desk staff was helpful and nice but gave us a lot of contradictory advice and recommendations on restaurant so we ended up just doing our own research and making our own plans. I don't even think there was a concierge on staff... at least I never saw on there in 4 days. Servers at both the bar and the breakfast seemed confused and lost half the time and were just kind of listlessly drifting around. Eager to please but not really knowing how to. If you're going to charge the same prices as the Four Seasons, you should have the same service. Staff needs to be more professional and on it. This very much felt like Hyatt service. Spa was small but nice and staff there was very accommodating and friendly. Prices there were reasonable as well. Location was great - very easy to get around. But based on above, would probably stay elsewhere next time.

Dear michaelcW7602KN, Thank you for taking the time and share your recent Párisi Udvar Hotel Budapest experience with us and fellow travelers. We regret to read that our beloved hotel did not meet your expectation. We do receive tremendous compliments on this property and we are beyond proud to have this monument building. But we also understand that this historical heritage hotel might not win over every visitor. It is one of the most valuable building in Budapest. It has one of the richest history, architecture value and it is full of authentic, local stories. The building has originally been designed for several functions, with a bank and shops at street level, apartments upstairs and spacious studios at the highest level. The hotel reveals now a long lost building decorations, all original colors, Zsolnay ceramic tiles, Villeroy & Boch pieces, moorish elements along with the neo-gothic and art nouveau details just like in 1912. Párisi Udvar is a heritage building since the 70's. I also like to apologize for the service that you received. We do have a young team, although they are trained, experienced professionals, I understand that you faced some difficulties when receiving service from us. I have shared your feedback with all department heads to make sure we are meeting our guests needs more affectedly and improving. We all hope that despite of the mixed experience, you did enjoy your time in Budapest and you might consider staying with us again. With kind regards, Eszter Morvay Director of Rooms
