In Budapest downtown, in an iconic building was recently opened the three star T62 Hotel, one of the newest hotels in the city center. 136 contemporary hotel rooms with bright colours but harmonic interior design reflects comfort and style. The spacious and in atrium located lobby lounge and bar features a vibrant „urban art” style created through the dominating Frida Kahlo’s montages on its walls. Hotel's Favorite
We had a great stay at this hotel. It is perfectly located as a base for sightseeing. Right by the Nyguati Station with a direct Flibco connection from the airport, right on multiple tram lines and direct access to the metro. Easy walking distance to the Cathedral, Parliament, Oktagon and MANY restaurants.
The room was snug, European modern and perfect if you only want the space for sleeping. Great bathroom and shower. Friendly and helpful desk. Breakfast heaven, with a big buffet style of ALL sort of European breakfasts. Good coffee.
The Buda side is way more expensive and much more inconvenient. Stay here and spend the savings on food and Tokaji wine.

This is a true boutique style hotel from the moment we walked through the doors until check out we were smiling . Staff spoke perfect english and very helpful . We checked our bags in the storage lockers and went for a stroll around town . Our room (120) was on the corner with two windows , its a city so the views are not picturesque. You can hear some traffic especially emergency sirens so pack ear plugs if you are a light sleeper . The room was immaculate with a city scape picture covering a feature wall and high ceilings . Bathroom has lashings of hot water from a powerful shower . Loads of storage space and a room safe but no tea and coffee facilities . Breakfast was a continental style with some crazy offerings , pork scratchings , meat balls etc . The lift is operated from your room card and couldn't hear any music in the corridors (mentioned by a previous poster) . The bed ( a king) had two single type duvets on it which foxed us at first but it works incredibly well. The windows don't have any tinting or nets so if you value privacy then keep the curtains closed . You can also fully open the windows if you need to . Its located right by bus, tram , overground and underground trains . If you need to buy anything then its on your doorstop from Macdonalds to Decathon. We walked every where in the city and being January it was v cold but the hotel is very toasty . Bonus is the Wifi is superb . The staff and hotel were delightful and I would return in a heartbeat .

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveler reviews.
We stayed here as a family of three for four nights. There's nothing you can really say that's bad about this hotel but there's also nothing outstanding about it either. I've given it four stars but if I could I'd give it 3.5/5.
Let's start with the good things...
The location is really good. Near to lots of the main sights (Parliament, Danube, Margaret's Island). It's also near a big Mall called Westend and lots of eateries. There's also a Lidl not too far away and plenty of transport links (Metro and Tram right outside). We got a transfer from the hotel to the airport which we booked at reception and cost about £30.
The look of the hotel is impressive. It looks very new and all the public areas are bright and clean.
In fact the hotel as a whole was spotless. Our room was cleaned everyday.
We booked a large double room and it was spacious with high ceilings, a large bed and a large pull out bed for our daughter. The shower was lovely, really powerful. There is a showergel/shampoo dispenser and towels provided. There was also a hairdryer and little vanity kits but no soap or conditioner. There was also no kettle or fridge.
The not so great things...
The first night we arrived (Sunday) was quiet until about midnight when there was banging techno music coming from somewhere outside. It went on for a fair few hours and even with two lots of windows it was really loud and meant we didn't get much sleep. This was the only time it happened but I'd hazard a guess that it happens on fridays and saturdays also. Plus as the hotel is in the city centre and right near a fly over there is a great deal of traffic noise early in the morning plus sirens and train noise. That didn't bother us too much as it was a trade off to be right in the centre but if you're a light sleeper it may be problematic.
With regards breakfast it was just ok. Cooked well, hot and replenished just odd combinations like pasta bake and chicken nuggets alongside eggs and mini croissants.
With regards the staff, a bit like the breakfast, there is nothing bad to say but nothing outstanding either. They all seemed to lack enthusiasm. At other places we've stayed the staff have acted like they can't do enough to help you but here that isn't the case. For example, on one occasion we asked for a set of cutlery to eat in our room and they seemed put out by our request. Plus there was no real information offered about the hotel or the surrounding area.
In the lobby there is a little area where you can buy water and snacks and there is a small bar but I'm unsure if they offer any kind of food.
Overall the hotel did the job it just didn't have the wow factor.

T62 is accessed though it's palazzo entrance with simple plain decor that makes all welcome. The designers have managed to create a unique atmosphere by combining modern styles with the classic building, The rooms are comfortable and appropriately furnished that would both please the eye and serve the purpose with simple elegance. The hotel has a 24-7 manned reception and bar together with other basic need that you may require. The staff are eager to make your stay as comfortable as possible and are all ready with a smile. Breakfast was excellent. the location of the hotel is just across the road from the train station close enough to the main sites that if you are willing you can walk all round the city.
I definitely recommend the place.

The hotel is clean and has lovely painted murals on the walls, the furniture is bright colours and it all looks really cool. It’s also good value for money. However, the staff were abrupt and unfriendly for the most part. It was like when you spoke to them or asked a question you were an inconvenience, even just ordering a drink at the bar.... I got a huff from the woman because I asked for red wine and it meant she had to go and look in the back! We asked for more pillows one evening and the woman behind the desk asked for the room number and said they’d bring them up, we waited over and hour and in the end just continued to use the sofa cushions as our second pillows. The next day I asked again, this time a different woman said we can’t give you them, only the cleaning staff can get them and they are only here in the morning! Firstly, that’s ridiculous! Secondly, why did the other woman just lie and make us go away and wait?! When I asked why we hadn’t been told that yesterday, she just shrugged and stared at me. No apology or anything. The breakfast was one of the strangest I’ve ever seen anywhere in the world - the bread, pastries, cold cuts, eggs etc were fine and upon looking it up, quite traditional in Hungary. However, tuna pasta bake, ratatouille (mostly onions in tomato sauce), mini hot dogs, pasta with cottage cheese, cabbage with sausage, bulgar wheat salad, meatballs and many more odd things were also on the buffet for breakfast. So strange, and mostly not very nice (didn’t taste everything but tried to taste quite a few things!) It felt like it was the evening before a left over dinner... but the hotel doesn’t serve food at any other time than breakfast! That’s also another down side, it has this lovely open reception, lobby, restaurant... but it’s only open for breakfast. Such a shame.

Handily located near Nyugati Station with trams just outside the door & a short stroll to the metro, the T62 provide a gateway to and a haven from all the hedonistic highlights of fast changing Budapest. Not far to the designer shops of Andrassy or the quirky ruin bars & vintage fashion stores of the fluid Dohany Jewish District but also within reach of all those wonderfully Instragramable places along the Danube. A friendly efficient check-in greets you on arrival, less paperwork more time to settle. My room on the fourth floor was a tad tiddly compared to other places I’ve staying in when visited the city but all the amenities were in place even if the promised landmark view was a blow up of the Fisherman’s Bastion on the wall 😉! Sleeping arrangements pot on with a comfy bed and plus points for an excellent selection of pillows in all shapes, sizes and softnesses. Bathroom facilities spot on to- super hot shower perfect. However, I must add a small grumble about the thinness of the bedroom walls with noisy neighbours getting back late being heard through them & even one morning an alarm call from an adjacent room was heard. Really loved the selections at breakfast too… The usual cold platters for a light continental breakfast, but it was the hot food that really tempted me. Rotating curiosities of Fish Fingers, Chicken Nuggets, Sauerkraut & Sausages or Sweet Potato Fries for breakfast? Why not! Extra bonus for the super friendly young ladies serving even if they did grimace a bit at my managed attempts at using what little Hungarian I’d learned!

Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, it is in a good location, the room was clean, trendy and good value. The rooms are really well sound proofed which was a bonus. Good WiFi and air conditioning.
The only thing which I would improve is the towels are really small.
I had the breakfast the first day but was nothing spectacular so the following days I ate breakfast out at the places around the hotel instead as they were inexpensive and more interesting.

The hotel is near a Metro and Tram station. In the area you can find many food restaurants, coffee shops, super markets, fast food. The staff were very friendly and polite, they will assist you wit hanything you need. They speak English.
We booked a Large double room. It was very clean. Plenty of space. Good temperature, which you can remotely change. Bed was nice, not very soft - not very hard.
If you want to book at this hotel, for sure you have to book with breakfast included. Many choises, from scrambled eggs to spaggeti with tomato sauce. Every day they change many of the food choises. Even if the room is full, you can find a seat to eat your meal.
In case that you arrive earlier than 1500 or you make check out and your flight is for late night, the hotel provide free storage service. We arrived at 1100 and we left our staff at the storage area, in secured boxes. (with password).
Generally we were very satisfied. The hotel is value for money and a very good choise for staying in Budapest (Pest area).
The room did not have small refrigerator. We did not need it, but anyhow is good to have one, just in case.

Stayed here with a friend for a night, and we had a great time. The staff were very helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The bathrooms were properly eqipped with a hair dryer and hygiene products and well as some beauty accessories. The public spaces were beautifully designed. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right across the train station and only a couple minutes away from the best streets.
