This is a very practical camping ground to visit Budapest, it offers electricity, showers, toilets and a restaurant. There is a free breakfast in the morning. The bus is a 2 min walk and direct bus takes about 20 mins to te town centre, it can get busy but is probably the best place to visit. Friendly staff and a welcome drink on arrival and we were also given a bottle of wine on departure. I would recommend this location.
We stopped here for two nights as we wanted to visit the city. It’s a quirky campsite set in an old station. On arrival we were greeted by the very friendly owner who gave us a very welcome free beer and explained we could choose anywhere we wanted to camp. She then explained about the buses to get to the city and answered all our questions. The toilet and washing facilities are dated but were clean with plenty of hot water available. The inclusive breakfast was amazing and such a lovely change when camping! We also ate dinner in the restaurant which was tasty and good value. If returning to Budapest, we would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!
Stopped off for one night with a tent, lady that met us was very nice and offered us a welcome drink, all amongst trees, everything could do with an update really as showers are a bit grotty, the curtain was mouldy and there is knowhere to put anything, but we managed. The breakfast though was something else more than plenty to eat and delicious.
I visited Budapest in August and i stopped in Zugligeti Niche Kemping for four nights. The price for one night is 54,00 € (about 15.000 hungarian florins) that inlude electricity and services. The price is most expensive if i compare with the offer. Services are very ugly because for example the space where is possibile to put grey water is located in the center of street. Another ugly service is showers because are very dirty. The only positive services are breakfast, that is included in the pric, and the kitchen. I eat an excellent goulasch that is cooked by proprietress. She speaks many languages and is very available for all. In the camping, there is a possibility of change Euro in florins, buy tickets for touristic bus, puy in Euro. I think that the camping can improve above all the organization of space and services as showers, bathroom and camper service area.…
Nice shaded campsites. Busy when we visited. The owners are the loveliest kindest people and ensure everyone is happy. Easy access to Budapest centre on the bus. Taxi cost us 6,000huf with the metre on which seemed pricey.
Highly recommended ! My son and I stayed for 2 nights, Elizabeth and here staff are the best, we have been on the road for a month in many countries. This was our favorite campsite. Beautiful old tram station, great food, breakfast provided, smiles, clean, no hassles, easy short walk to bus, right into the city. 5+ Thanks again David and Liam Portland, Oregon, USA
Located unbelievably close to Budapest centre and an easy foray there on the bus, this reclaimed former tram line terminus has a quirky character, we sided with the enthusiast reviewers here and the site is a challenge to keep visibly spotless and hygienic and I'm sure the proprietors do their best. The charming welcome with drink on the house then the totally unexpected (and probably needless) breakfast - mind you; the pancakes were good, all add to the tally of positive memories of our stay here. If returning to Budapest we'd look no further for our base.
We spend 3 night there at the begginning of May 2017 and we enjoyed it. We liked the location - it´s situated not so far from the city center (we easily get from camp everywhere by foot) and surrounded by green. The sanitairy was not modern, but good enough for us. We really liked station building and what was the best about this place are the owners which are very lovely and nice, preparing perfect breakfast and all meals. :-)
We stayed here in our Motorhome for 2 nights and loved the quirky set-up along the old tram tracks and station building. We were welcomed with a drink and cake, and received an excellent information pack about Budapest and the public transport systems. We also booked in for the inclusive breakfast which was continental style with bread and pancakes, cheese, meats and coffee. The site is only 2 minutes walk from a direct bus into Budapest centre, which takes approx. 20 minutes depending on traffic. We took a taxi back one evening which cost the approx. equivalent to €12. The toilet and shower facilities are slightly dated but clean and in good working order, as are the Motorhome service facilities. An excellent stop to visit Budapest, although slightly more expensive than other sites we feel it was well worth the extra cost.…
We spent two nights here in October 2016 and it was great. The proprietors were so welcoming and made us feel really welcome. The WiFi was excellent as we were near the reception office. The toilets and shower facilities were nice and clean. The campsite was also right off the bus route so hopping on the bus and heading into Budapest couldn't have been easier.
