We stayed here for 4 nights and were upgraded, so our room was a good size, and included kettle, tea making facilities, etc. The room was quiet, we were on the top floor, room hot (weather 25 degrees outside), so we were glad of the aircon. The bed was comfortable, the pillows not, but we were able to change them...

A cleverly modernised hotel in a historic part of the city, close to transport links for getting to all the tourist hot spots. Rooms are well furnished and comfortable. The restaurant can be a little manic at breakfast time, but food is plentiful, good and varied. The Friday night Hungarian evening is a hoot.

This is a super hotel on the edge of the Jewish quarter and well placed for exploring ,restaurants and transport. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the rooftop spa centre with pools sauna and jacuzzi a welcome break from the sights. You are 3 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the main street. We had a fabulous...

Have just returned from a 4 day break staying at this hotel, a lovely impressive reception welcomes you and helpful staff. Check in was fast and very helpful front desk staff. Rooms comfortable and pillow menu available. Breakfast-fantastic choice of both hot and cold cereals, yoghurts eggs, omlettes to order, the only niggle was that the hot food bacon, beans...

This delightful hotel was exactly what we needed for our 3 night stay. The entrance is lovely and the staff are very friendly from the moment you arrive. Our room was fairly small but very clean and modern with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with so much choice and good opening times. The gym was small but equipment...

The beautiful revolving door and marble lobby make a lovely first impression, especially upon entering from a nondescript street. The rooms were nice, overlooking a central courtyard. Breakfast offered a good variety but was quite crowded. We went to the hotel bar several times but I cannot recommend it because it is very under-staffed and service is consequently very slow....

Situated in an area in need of reconstruction in places on the edge of the original Jewish quarter and currently described as 'Soho'. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area. Rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. Used restaurant for breakfast only, which offered a good intercontinental variety. Quite convenient for local transport once experienced.

Hotel is located in the former Hungaria Fürdo (baths) at the edge of the former Jewish ghetto. The VII district today is quite run down and dirty and lots of unsavoury characters around especially at night. The only parts salvaged from the old baths are the facade and the atrium. While the room not spacious it's is not that small...

Staying in District VII / Jewish Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
