Detailed Reviews
My boyfriend and I booked a private room and bath in this hostel and had a nice stay. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The price was perfect for us and the location was about a 5 minute walk to the Metro and 10 minute ride to the river. The rooms were clean but wasn't what we were expecting. We shared an apartment with 2 other groups, which was fine but sometimes they were loud. Also there were multiple dogs that barked all night but overall we had a nice weekend. Remember that you need to bring your own towels and soaps. And Don't drink the water, I made that mistake and was sick for the entire trip.

Dear JRachel95, Thanks for taking time to this great feed-back. We are happy to hear that you liked the room, the staff and the location too. You can ask for towels at the reception, and the water is 100% drinkable n Hungary Look forward to seeing you next time! Best regards, The Baroque Hostel Team

This hostel has a really weird vibe. No one talks to one another, the bathrooms and bedrooms were dirty and there were no windows in the two dorms we stayed in. It’s also quite a way from the centre. That was fine for us as we didn’t mind walking, but if you’re looking for a convenient place to stay, it may not be for you.

Personal unmotiviert. Für dieses Geld obere Grenze. Auf dem WC wurde geraucht.

They tried to take this old classic house and transform it into a modern colorful hostel . Have they managed that ? ...more or less . The staff are excellent , specially the guy with the tattoos. Very friendly and tried to satisfy all my accommodation request and questions. Shower not the cleanest but hot water and pressure made up for that . If you want a quite room , you my end up in a one with no real windows . A bit claustrophobic but for one or 2 nights should be fine . I would not recommend this place for a family , but for young travelers should be just perfect . .
The entrance its also a bit awkward . Small black gate from the main street , go all the way to the back of the yard .

We booked a 'Double bed private room with bathroom". Ended up with a private bedroom in a shared apartment, with a private shower, but shared toilet. Neither shower nor toilet were on -suite. When I questioned Anna, she said we had paid for the room and that was that! No one had cleaned under the bed or behind furniture as I found previous guests items.
Staff in general seemed self absorbed when we asked for directions, best place to change $, etc.
Location was right on bus line #70 directly across street from large park, and walking distance to our favorite Thermal spa.
Really good café/bakeries just a few doors away.

5 minutes walk to underground station (Victory Square). Good prices, fully equipment kitchen and kindly staff. Very curious vintage interior decoration. Passing between two parts of the hostel through wardrobe is something unusual :)

Unbelievably friendly staff, always willing to help, guide, recommend, explain. As for the rest, quite huge and comfortable, clean, low rates, administration desk open round the clock, and entertainment nooks throughout.
