Want a more intimate hostel to meet other fellow travelers? So Suite Hostel is just for you! Suite Hostel is in the perfect location and the perfect place to meet fellow like-minded travelers and share travel experiences with. We welcome all travelers to come join our community, to spend some time, hang out and party with the family. Suite hostel is a medium sized hostel, with a chilled vibe. There's no noise curfew or any of that nonsense, especially cos we like to have a good old singalong on our balcony every now and then. We just want to make sure every one gets a long, enjoys their stay, check out the city, chill if they want to or party their hearts out if they want to. The staff at Suite Hostel are all young local and international people who are outgoing, fun, ready to show you a good time in 'Pest, yet still have a professional manner. We are very knowledgeable about our city and all its hot spots and are more than willing to sit down and show them to you on a map. Often will take you around ourselves, because we love this city and want you to enjoy it just as much as we do! We want to make sure you are more than just another number and become part of our little family. We have an extensive social program and we are located in the heart of Budapest, near all the attractions such as the Castle district, St. Stephen's Basilica, Thermal bath houses and the Citadel. At the same time our area has the most bars and clubs to which the staff will gladly take you. For those who like to prepare their own meals, the central market hall is at the end of our street, two minutes walk away; but if you like eating out, ask the staff for the best places to go, there are plenty in the area. We have three fully equipped kitchens so there is never any waiting time to make your meals. Also, we encourage dinner nights so we can all enjoy each others company. Suite Hostel features: Free lockers (padlocks included) Free wifi in every room Free sheets Free tea and coffee all day Free access to guidebooks Free maps Free luggage storage Free Cable TV with all football matches, DVDs and xbox 360

This is an excellent hostel (which I give 4 1/2 stars) in a very good location right by the Great Market Hall and few minutes walk to the bridge you cross to get to the Liberty Statue and the overlook which has great views of the city. The hostel was clean, beds were comfortable, customer service at the front desk was excellent, the wi-fi worked well, they had 2 small kitchens to cook in, lockers in the room, washers/dryers for a fee and there was a small common area with a tv and dining area. Minor negatives were the common area closes around 10 to 11PM, no elevator/lift and besides the 2 community dinners each week there were not a lot of social activities at the hostel. There are 2 supermarkets nearby (Aldi and a Tesco) and plenty of bars/restaurants nearby with a tram stop near the hostel. An outstanding hostel that I plan on staying at again if I go back to Budapest.

I spent a lot of time at the hostel enjoying the community there. The hostel is very central, close to the market hall and the danube. Staff and the ambience is generally extremeley kind and caring. I personally loved to study there, because it is quiet enough and still very lively which made me feel at home. Especially the thanksgiving parties are lovely!! And for night time you will always find someone to go on a pub crawl or watch Star Wars with ;)

This hostel is definitely one of the old school. It has many awards on the wall but they all date from around 2009, things have moved on in the last decade. The staff were very nice but they all seemed burnt out - probably due to doing such long hours and sleeping on a sofa between shifts. It had wafer-thin mattresses and one of the showers was broken - I can live with these things but a lot of hostels have raised the bar in this regard. The biggest disappointment was the lack of atmosphere here. There is a common room but it was emptied by an annoying American guy playing the guitar and singing as loud as he was out of tune. Had he not been there the situation may have been better and I do appreciate annoying guests are not the hostel's fault. I have to be honest though, this hostel is just average and in a city as big as Budapest there will be plenty of better ones.
